Race 4: BM 70 Handicap 1200m
PROPHET’S THUMB (8) Well supported first up and sat midfield to power home well to score. Fitter for that effort and step up in trip should be no issue as won maiden over this trip in strong fashion. Should obtain a soft run just behind the leader and be running on strongly to be right in the finish.
Dangers:
MARMARIS (5) Fitter for first up effort where he was sound to the line. Second up last preparation ran on very strongly over this trip to narrowly go down. Expecting an improved showing in this today. VIRGILIO (1) Well supported last start at Canterbury and was nabbed late in good effort. Strong runs this preparation behind Bon Amis and Samadoubt are good enough to be in the finish today.
Race 5: BM 70 Handicap 1000m
ROYAL WITNESS (4) Good effort first up being taken to the front and kicking strongly in the straight to score in quick time. Fitter for that effort and second up form is sound. From a very strong yard and both career wins have been over this trip so expecting a very showing today.
Dangers:
NOVEMBER MAN (8) Go back and worked to the line very strongly finishing behind the on top selection. Good record at this trip and should obtain a soft run behind the speed. Will be in the finish. MILITARY ACADEMY (2) First up and sound fresh record. Last run before spell as sound behind Paret which reads well for a race of his class. Watch betting.
Race 6: BM 70 Handicap 1400m
MY SONG (4)Give a quiet trial before solid first up performance. Fitter for that effort and the step up to 1400m is a big plus. Won his last two starts last preparation before spelling. Can sit just behind the leaders and be right in the finish in what is an very open event.
Dangers:
BULL MARKET (5) Fitter for first up performance which was sound. Will appreciate the drop back in class and is the lowest class race he has competed in for some time. Last time at the this track trip and class ran a very good second. Right in this. PLAYARD (9) The last four efforts have all been good running on strongly late. Fit and should be right in the finish today. CASCATA ROSSA (7) Two runs this preparation have been good at Canterbury getting back and running on strongly. This track suits that pattern more. Can be in the finish.
Race 7: BM 70 Handicap 1600m
BOTTI (9) First up effort was sound and will be fitter for that effort in a quick time event. Second up record is good and drops sharply in grade today and has a lot more upside than a few of these. JMAc stays on and will be running home strongly today. Looks hard to beat.
Dangers:
CYBER INTERVENTION (3) Broke through last start at third run this preparation getting back and finishing off well to score. Lightly raced and at peak fitness. Looks the clear danger to the on top selection.. ZEPPELIN (4) A winner of three of his past five starts in similar grade. Fit and record at the trip is good. Must be included. GREAT JOB (1) Narrowly went down first up being taken to the front and nabbed only late. Is two from two second up and stable has an excellent strike rate. Can feature in the finish.
