Race 1: 2yo Handicap 1200m
CREATOR (5) On debut from a strong stable that has a proven record with top line 2yo performers. Two recent trials have been good particularly the last one at Canterbury where he went to the line in good fashion. McEvoy with the ride and looks ready to go. Keep an eye on betting however should be right in the finish.
Dangers:
KIAMICHI (3) Nice win on debut here at this track and distance. Has been kept ticking over nicely with a good trial performance. Has the proven race experience. CZARSON (1) Good winner on debut at Gosford sitting on the speed and proving to strong in the straight as a short priced favourite. This is harder however from top stable. Must be respected.
Race 2: BM 76 Handicap 1400m
BALLER (2) Won well at a big price on debut then a forgive run when well tried in the betting then last start sat on pace and won very easy. Looks to have very good ability and the extra distance looks to suit. Tommy Berry stays on for the ride and will be in the finish again today.
Dangers:
REELEM IN RUBY (5) First up at Canterbury last start as a short priced favourite and got home well to score narrowly and in quick time. Should only be fitter for that effort RONSTAR (1) Fitter for two runs back which have both been sound around a couple of very smart runners. Form last preparation was good at 2yo level. Looks ready to show something today.
Race 3: TAB Highway Handicap 1400m
CHEWBACCA (2) Fitter for two runs back from a spell and a winner of three of his past five starts. Last start boxed seating just behind the leaders and ran away with it in the straight to score at an odds on quote. First up run was in this class and did a good job working to the line well as a well tried favourite. Talented and looks hard to beat
Dangers:
SOSTENIDO (6) Bolted in at Orange last start as avery short priced favourite. This is harder however fit and racing well. BENNELONG DANCER (1) Heavily backed when first up at Albury last start and came home well to score. Fitter and a good second up record. Ran fourth in the country championship at $201. Goes in the mix OUR ROSEMAREE (9) Winner at this track and class last start sitting on pace and proving to strong. Has been good in her last three starts and can be in the finish again today.
Race 4: BM 88 Handicap 2000m
ARAAJA (4) Fitter for two runs back from a spell. Last start got back and worked to the line well behind the flying Sky Boy. Should get a good run from the barrier and the step up to 2000m looks to suit. Small field should suit so won’t be getting to far off the leaders. Expecting a forward showing today.
Dangers:
ABDON (1) Has been racing well in his last four starts without tasting success. Will find this easier than the last two he has raced against. JMac gets the ride. Ticks a lot of boxes. NAVAL WARFARE (2) The last three runs have all been good going down narrowly in higher grade than he is competing today. Drawn well and fit. Has to be in contention in this even staying event.
Race 5: BM 88 Handicap 1400m
MAPMAKER (1) Strong on speed winner at this venue last weekend. At peak fitness now and his last three efforts have been full of merit and all in quick time events. Will be looking to drive up from barrier 1 and take a position just behind the leaders and will be right in the finish. Doesn’t know how to run a bad one.
Dangers:
SMARTEDGE (5) Fitter for first up effort where he got back and ran home well in a slick time event. Second up form is sound and from a strong stable and McEvoy rides. Should be right in the finish. ONSLAUGHT (6) Fitter for first up effort and has an excellent second up record. From the strong Snowden camp and has a won at this track and trip in the past. Not the worst a big odds.
Race 6: BM 78 Handicap 1400m
DEFT (7) Nice winner first up at Canterbury where she got well back and rattled home to score when very solid in the market. Last start again worked to the line well to place. Fitter now for two runs back from a break and the step up in trip looks to suit. The stable is going well and see no reason why she can’t be right in the finish again today.
Dangers:
SWEET DEAL (2) Got back and ran on well first up in a very slick time event then second up when specked in the betting won well finishing over the top of them. Has ability and can take this out. VELOCITA (6) Holding form well this preparation. Last start went down narrowly to the very much inform Sexy Eyes. That reads well for this. Can once again be in the finish. SO MAGIC (9) Winner of her past two starts in good fashion in weaker grade. Is only lightly raced and still on the up. Both victories were in good time which is always a plus and from good yard. Expecting a good showing.
Race 7: BM 88 Handicap 1100m
ALBUMIN (1) First up and drew inside gates in first three runs this preparation and won well in all three. Expecting she can obtain a nice run just behind the leaders and has a good sprint on him. Given a quiet trial in a tune up for this and is three from three at this track and trip. Looks hard to beat.
Dangers:
CORUSCATE (2) Very good winnr first up then went down narrowly second up. Has been given another trial since so should be close to peak fitness now. Trciky gate is of some concern however has JMac riding and goes well at the trip. Cannot leave out of calculations REDOUBLE (5) Big run first up getting back and hitting the line well. Fitter for that effort and second up record is better than it reads. The class rise is of no concern as has competed well in slightly higher grade. BON AMIS (4) Short priced favourite when first up last start and was a good winner. Very good figures second up and at this track and trip. Can win this with the right run.
Race 8: BM 78 Handicap 1500m
REFLECTIVITY (5) Ran on well first up going down narrowly then last start ridden a lot closer to the speed and again narrowly went down in a good time event at this track and trip. This looks no harder and will be fitter for two runs back from a break. Should be getting a good run from the draw and from strong yard. Looks to be right in the finish in what is a tricky event.
Dangers:
ISLAND MISSILE (7) Specked in the betting first up and ran on well in a good time event. Second up form is strong and McEvoy gets the ride. Expecting another forward showing. DESTINY’S OWN (10) Should be at peak fitness now after four runs back from a spell. Last start got back and ran on well when solid in the market. Should roll forward from a wide gate and be right in the finish. NAI’A (11) Easing favourite last start and that did not stop her winning well. From a strong and inform yard and her last three runs have been good.
Race 9: BM 78 Handicap 1300m
LISDOONVARNA (6) Got back and ran on well when solid in the market first up. Fitter for that run and has won well second up before. Should be able to obtain a nice run behind the leaders and has the class to take this out including a solid performance G3 level last preparation.
Dangers:
MOET ROSE (12) Very consistent the past 5 runs either winning or going down narrowly. Should get a nice run behind the speed and from good yard. Can win this. BLUE TYCOON (2) Was well backed in prep post betting last start and won well at Canterbury. Strung together a few wins last preparation once striking form. ARANCINI (7) Heavily backed first up at Canterbury finishing third behind Blue Tycoon. Very good second up record and JMac takes the ride. Can be right in the finish.
