Race 1: 2yo Handicap 1100m
IGNITING (2) Got back and ran on well ob debut to finish second in a good time event. Should only be fitter for that effort and the step up to the 1100m only looks to suit. He was a very good winner in a trial prior to debut effort. Expecting a bold showing.
Dangers:
ACCESSION (1) Solid placing on debut then went one better second up scoring in good fashion. Recent trial was good and has solid form here. Can win this. DETERGE (6) Trial was good prior to first up run which was poor on a heavy track. Back on to a drier surface today and from strong yard. Can bounce back. AVON RIVER (11) Solid performance on debut settling on pace and holding position to the line to fill the placings. Should be better for the run and McEvoy gets the ride. Can make presence felt in this.
Race 2: BM 72 Handicap 1300m
LJUNGBERG (2) Good winner two starts back breaking maiden status on a heavy track then last start was very impressive winning by almost four lengths on the Kenso. This doesn’t look a lot harder and can settle in a forward position from the wide draw. Looks above average and can give this a big shake.
Dangers:
VEGADAZE (6) Won two trials prior to debut effort which was very good settling back and finishing strongly to win well. Should be improved for that effort and still on the up. MATOWI (5) First up last start and won well at Canterbury breaking maiden status running on strongly to score. Fitter and gets good run from the draw and with Avdulla getting the ride looks like it will be right in the finish again today.
Race 3: BM 78 Handicap 1100m
ALASSIO (4) Fitter for two runs back from a spell and both have been good on pace. Last start lead them up and was only nabbed late at Canterbury. Drawn to cross and lead this field and did look above average last preparation. Drops 4.5 kg from last start and JMac stays on. Hard to beat.
Dangers:
MISS CELEBRATION (7) A winner of four from five and won well first up leading them up and kicking strongly to score. Fitter and expecting another forward showing today has above average ability. WITHERSPOON (10) First up effort was an improved effort was sound at WYong then an improved effort last start on the Kenso sitting on pace and filling the placings. Form last preparation was strong and ready to fire. Can play a big part in the finish.
Race 4: TAB Highway Handicap 1400m
LACEY LYNX PACK (15) Won well prior to being spelled over this trip at 1400m at the Gold Coast. Since being spelled has had two solid runs back running on soundly in both. The step in trip suits and Avdulla gets up th ride. The stable has an excellent record with runners in these races. Goes close in what is an open race.
Dangers:
HIT THE TARGET (2) Has won 2 of his 3 career runs in good fashion. Last start at Scone settling just behind the leaders and fought on strongly to score in quick time. This is harder however races forward and still on the up. ANDY’S A STAR (4) Very consistent this preparation with three placings in his three runs. Last start got well back in this class of race and rattled to the line to finish second. Peaks in fitness today and McEvoy gets the ride. Can feature in the finish again today. RISK AND REWARD (3) Last two starts have been sound in similar grade and form prior is good enough to be in the finish here. Can bounce back today.
Race 5: BM 88 Handicap 1100m
BON AMIS (2) Fitter for three runs back this preparation and won the first two of those at this track and trip in impressive fashion. Last start at Warwick Farm was sound to the line on a Soft track. Back to this venue and a firmer surface and peaks in fitness today. A lot to like about his chances today. Goes close.
Dangers:
PARET (3) First up and fitter for two recent trials which were good. Form last preparation was good winning multiple starts on the way to running in a G1 event. Has ability and expecting to show up fresh today. SPECIAL MISSILE (1) Has won two trials in good fashion in preparation for todays assignment. Fresh form is only sound however has performed well in higher grades than is competing in today. Can feature in the finish with the right run.
Race 6: BM 78 Handicap 1350m
SWEET SCANDAL (2) Fitter for three runs back from a spell and was a strong winner last start after being specked in the betting and being taken to the front and kicking strongly in the straight to win well and in quick time. A winner of 4 from 8 and this doesn’t look a lot harder than last start. The one to beat
Dangers:
REGENT (9) Good winner first up running on strongly then the last two starts have both been good running on well to finish just outside the placings. At peak fitness today and from strong table can feature in the finish. SCHUBERT (4) Two runs back from a spell have been good working to the line strongly in higher grade events than today. Fitter and if the race is run to suit can be finishing over the top of them and take this out.
Race 7: BM 78 Handicap 1200m
ALL TOO ROYAL (4) The three runs since being transferred to Sydney have been very good. Last start was a very well backed favourite and taken to the front and won well by almost three lengths. This is slightly harder however an find a forward position from this draw and good track form is excellent. Respect the stable. Goes close in this.
Dangers:
POETIC CHARMER (5) Four well spaced runs this preparation and has finished no worse than second. Last start settled just behind the speed and ran on well to narrowly go down. Fit, racing well and from the Snowden yard all big pluses. He is right in this. THE AVENGER (3) Fitter for tow recent trials this month which were both sound. Form is good last preparation in higher grade however over a slightly longer trip. Avdulla gets the ride and expecting to be running on hard late. Can feature in the placings.
Race 8: BM 78 Handicap 2000m
CREEDANCE (9) Racing well this preparation and in his last five runs has finished no worse than 2 lengths from the winner. Should obtain a soft run behind the leaders and be working to the line strongly. This trip poses no issues and gets in well at the weights. Should be right in the finish today.
Dangers:
ZIP A DEE DOO DAH (6) Last two starts have been good running on strongly to finish just outside the placings. The step up to this trip looks to suit however just will need a touch a luck from the draw. If the split comes in the straight he will be running on strongly. MISSYBEL (8) Strong winner two starts back on the Kenso on pace by over three lengths and happy to forgive the last start performance. Can be bouncing back today.
Race 9: BM 78 Handicap 1500m
HARMATTAN (6) First up performance was very good when specked in the betting behind the smart Sweet Scandal running on strongly to finish second in a quick time event. Second up record is good and did race at group level last preparation. Was supported when markets went up on Wednesday. Expecting a big run.
Dangers:
NICCI’S GOLD (4) Good winner two starts back then last start ran on well again to finish in the placings. Record at this trip is better than it reads. If they run along in front she can be finishing over the top of them in this. DAWN RAID (2) Flying this preparation in lesser grades than is meeting today. Last start sat on speed and won well at Canterbury making it 3 in a row. Rolls forward and racing well. Treat with respect in this.
