More than handy galloper resuming. Appears to get conditions made to order with solid tempo up front/small field presenting as the ideal scenario. Will settle off the pace whilst also gets in with no weight down on the minimum whilst his rider, Owen Ridge also has a great affiliation with this four year old. Overcame trouble to score big win first-up last prep…reckon he presents as a terrific gamble at the opening $4.80!

Victorian visitor that comes into this off a real eyecatcher when charged late in race best sectionals to finish fourth, just 1.6L off the winner Black Sail. Steps up to the longer 1800m here for the first time however suggest it’s a trip which should now relish. Gets in with absolutely no weight after the claim with just 52kg (drops 4.5kg!). Only previous run this track smashed her rivals by an ever-widening 3L! May only be $2.20 however suggest there is certainly still a clear edge at that price….best bet!

Race 7 No 5 CRIMSON TEARS
Lightly raced Weir trained, Japanese bred mare that gives every indication she is now screaming out for this longer trip. Love the way she found the line last start in what was definitely a tougher race than what she encounters here. Expect to see a career peak rating here hence more than happy to have a good go at the opening $2.60! As the market indicates suggest there is only one possible danger, Excessabeel ($3.50).

Hasn’t been too far away in all four runs back this prep. Gets in with absolutely no weight with just 52.5kg, dropping a massive 4kg here after claim, behind Table of Wisdom that has since come out and won again. Another positive is the step up to the mile, a trip he has finished in the money at all three previous attempts. Admittedly this is a most open race to finish the program however is simply impossible to ignore each-way at the seemingly generous $18 being offered….best value bet of the day!
