Thought this Tony McEvoy trained filly displayed plenty of promise when last in work including two nice wins. Was kept under a stranglehold when still kept hitting the line in a recent trial clearly indicating she has again returned in fine style. Maps to lead these on her ear whilst also important to note Jason Holder has a good affiliation with her having been aboard in her only two wins. Respecting No Joy ($3.70) and War Mistress ($5) enormously however both runners will be conceding First Diamond a start….reckon she will give supporters a huge sight at the juicy $7 on offer!

Super honest Darren Weir trained mare whose only recent disappointing efforts have come when simply outclassed against much tougher Group Two/Three company. Good effort again when placing behind Nariko last start (conceded winner a whopping 4kg!) with Nariko subsequently franking those formlines big time when tipped off late by the smart Illustrious Lad last week. Will find this much easier yet still drops 2kg after the claim whilst also drawn to do no work. Must say simply gobsmacked this mare has opened $4 considering we have her rated around the $2.25 mark…..best bet!! Only concern….Freehearted has also accepted at Moonee Valley on Friday night where we want to see her scratched!

Has gone down as a beaten favourite when still far from disgraced in only two runs for the Phillip Stokes Stable. Love the fact he is now being stepped up to the 1200m in a race where he maps perfectly sitting handy. Will seriously find this much easier….expected to put these right away….easily!!! Only betting strategy is simply to unload with the skinny $2.50 still reading as terrific overs!

Race 8 No 11 DIAMOND TYCOON
Lightly raced Tony McEvoy trained mare that created quite an impression when winning her first three career starts last campaign. Disappointed after being well supported first-up when simply never looked likely, before producing a much improved effort, catching the eye, making good late ground second-up. Expect only strips fitter again whilst gives every indication the rise to 1500m looks ideal. Gets in with absolutely no weight, especially after young Chris Casertas claim, whilst solid on-pace tempo also appeals. Likely sharp improver and simply can’t believe this mare has opened $14….clear best value bet of the day!! Respecting both Chapel City ($7.50) and Savatag ($4.60) whilst making the favourite Box On Collins ($3.20) the lay of the day!
