Race 1: BM 76 Handicap 1100m
ROHERYN (3) A good win on debut at Warwick Farm then last start bolted in last start here over 1200m when being sent out as favourite. Looks a real talent and the only query is the drop back 100m to the 1100m for mine however his class should get him over the line. Clearly the one to beat
Dangers:
CHESS STAR (1) First up and a recent nice trial effort behind Redzel. Form last preparation was very good winning at listed level at Moonee Valley before spelling as a short priced favourite. He is from strong yard and expecting to go well here. SHADOW BRIDGE (7) Two starts for two wins this preparation both in easier grade. Last start was backed into an odds on favourite and won well at Kembla Grange leading from barrier to box. Is fit and will go to the front and can figure in the placings.
Race 2: BM 88 Handicap 2400m
SOLO MISSION (6) The last three runs have been sound without winning. Last start was specked in the betting and ran home well behind behind the flying Sky Boy. Peaks in fitness today for mine and is a winner at this distance range and Avdulla has the ride. Short enough in betting however is the one to beat here
Dangers:
TAMARACK (5) A winner two starts back at this distance at Warwick Farm then last start was just fair over this trip at Rosehill as favourite. Fit and proven at this trip can be in the finish wih the right run in transit. THE BANDIT (7) Ran on well last start at Randwick over this trip when specked in the betting at good each way odds. Is hard to catch however will be running on in the straight and can run into the placings.
Race 3: TAB Highway 1100m
IAMACRUMPET (3) Winner of 2 of his past 3 starts in good fashion. Last start she was $3.2 into $2.8 and sat on the pace and kicked clear in the straight to record a very nice victory. Peaks in fitness today and steps up to her hardest test however looks to have good ability and can make her own luck on speed and take beating today
Dangers:
LEGION OF BOOM (6) Broke through last start to break maiden status at only its second career start at Scone sitting just behind the speed and proving to strong in the straight. I have a small query about the draw however fitter for those two efforts and from good yard. Must respect. I AM CAPTAIN (1) First up for almost a year last start and sat forward in the run and stuck on well to narrowly go down in defeat. Fitter for that effort and form when last in work was good enough to take a race like this out. YOUSAY BOLT (10) Well backed and ran on well at Wagga first up then a strong winner last start at Ballina sitting just behind the speed and sprinting well in the straight. This is her hardest test today however fit and racing well. Must include.
Race 4: November Topaz 1900m
RED EXCITEMENT (2) Good winner last start in similar class at this class and trip when being sent out as a well backed favourite. Has ran some good races in higher grade than he is meeting today and can make his own luck racing on the speed. It is an open event however I think represents value at the $6 mark. Can win.
Dangers:
MASK OF TIME (4) Well backed two starts back at Caulfield and won well then last start worked to the line well to run a narrow second to Red Excitement. Fit and racing well. Right in the mix. EXOTERIC (5) Coming back in trip after winning well last start over 2400m at Randwick when well tried in the betting. Has since trialed well and is a winner 3 times over 2000m so expecting to handle the drop back in trip well enough. Can figure in the finish again today.
Race 5: November Handicap 1400m
PASSAGE OF TIME (8) Was well specked in the betting first up and ran a nice second behind the very smart Cradle Mountain. Is a winner at this distance range and has ran well second up in the past. Form last preparation was good behind the likes of Osborne Bulls which reads well for this. The one to beat for mine.
Dangers:
JUST DREAMING (7) Sent out as a short priced favourite in both runs this preparation and has been just sound in both. Fitter for those runs and back onto a firmer track and back at Rosehill where she races very well are the big ticks. Expecting sharp improvement today. JUNGLE EDGE (1) Super galloper and very honest. Will take up his usual role as pacemaker and fight like a warrior in the straight. Form this preparation has been sound at G1 level. This is easier and any rain around would be a big plus. Goes close if given a soft time in front.
Race 6: BM 88 Handicap 1500m
WATCHDOG (12) Very consistent this preparation running well in all four starts. Last start was well backed and ran on well to run second. Drops nicely in weight and drawn to get a nice run into the race. Blinkers go on today and from a stable that is going well. Expecting to be there right in the finish again today.
Dangers:
SUNCRAZE (2) Very good second two starts back on the heavy then last start went to Flemington during Cup week in which can be a forget run. Back on a dry track suits and goes well here. Form is strong for a race of this class. NOTIO (11) Freshened up since two good runs at Caulfield where he got back and made steady ground to the line. Talented when right and has the class to show up here after being given a quiet trial in preparation for today. DROCHAID (6) Fitter for three runs back from a spell and drops back in distance today after stepping up to the 2000m. Should be at peak fitness and is good enough to figure in the finish from a strong stable. Not the worst.
Race 7: Rosehill Bowling Club BM 94 Handicap 1100m
ISAURIAN (7) Has been met with strong market support in his last three runs including a good win three starts back then last start when running on soundly to narrowly miss the placings when $4 to $2.8 in a very quick time event. Last start was off a freshen up so expecting to be fitter and does race well second up. He is very talented when right and expecting to be right in the finish in what is a very open race.
Dangers:
BADAJOZ (1) Fitter for two runs back from a long spell which both have been sound. Last preparation ran well at listed level and expecting to be almost at his peak which is good enough to take this out. JORDA (9) Taking a bit on trust after four runs this preparation have been just fair. Last preparation raced well in higher grade races than this. If she can regain her form she is good enough to be right in the finish. Watch betting. TANGO RAIN (8) Fitter first up effort where he ran on pace and knocked up in the straight. Second up record is very good and raced well at this track, class and distance last preparation. Can figure in the finish with the right run. Expecting improvement today.
Race 8: Australian Turf Club 1200m
SEASONS (5) First up and fitter for two recent trials. Last preparation won her last two starts before spelling in impressive fashion as a deep odds on favourite. Fresh record is very good and is 2 from 2 at this trip. Has been well found in betting however she does have above average ability and will be hard to beat today.
Dangers:
DEFT (4) Nice win first up at Canterbury sitting well back in the field and running on strongly to score. Fitter for that effort and has run well both second up and here in the past. Stable going well and expecting a bold showing again. READY TO PROPHET (12) First up and has won two recent trials in readiness for today’s event. Looked good last preparation winning maiden at Warwick Farm then running well in a quick time event at G2 level. Looks talented and can figure in this. SEAHAMPTON (11) First up and fitter for a recent trial. Form was abit up and down last preparation showing glimpses of a very talented mare when right. Watch betting as she does have ability and from the strong Waller yard.
Race 9: #theraces Handicap 1300m
NEWSFAN (1) Very good winner here first up as a short priced favourite. The lightly raced mare sat just behind the speed and sprinted well in the straight to score. Is starting to make a very strong overall record with now 3 wins from 7 starts. This doesn’t look a lot harder and can carry the big weight to victory today I feel.
Dangers:
SOUTHERN LAD (11) Got back and rattled to the line late to run third as favourite. The overall time of the race was very quick and his last 600m split was excellent. Expecting a bold showing today. SWEET DEAL (12) Fitter for first up run where she got back and worked to the line well when easy in the betting. Fitter for that run and does have ability. Can figure in the finish. SCHUBERT (2) Nice win last start at this track and trip in a quick time event. At peak fitness now and will drift back from the wide gate and expecting to be hitting the line well. Can run into the placings.
