Lightly raced, Tony McEvoy trained four year old gelding that has more than his share of ability when right. Went straight into the blackbook first-up, when must be said was ‘a certainty’ beaten after being badly held up, before still nearly having the audacity to get up and score. Franking those formlines even more was the fact Arrow Lane (finished 3rd in that same race) was then able to come out and score last week! Expect this bloke to have derived plenty for having had the run and expect him to have only come on further. Bolted in second-up when last in work….wouldn’t at all surprise to see this bloke progress quickly through the grades and string a number of wins together this campaign starting on Saturday. Given just even luck should simply win hence why we suggest readers launch into the opening $2.75!

Race 4 No 2 MISS JANE
Super honest and must be said most underrated Paul Seater trained mare that has really only produced the one disappointing run in her career to date. Has again returned in terrific fashion this campaign including a game win two starts back, despite enduring a tough run throughout. Was again dealt no favours last start when still fought on tenaciously just missing the placings. Seriously maps ideally here, stalking leader on what just presents as an even tempo race whilst also drops marginally in class. Suggest she simply only has to hold her form to be too good for these hence why the opening $3.10 makes plenty of appeal!

Race 5 No 2 TATOOSH
Certainly not deterred by the fact that this Will Clarken trained galloper hasn’t been able to crack it for a win this campaign having had very little go his way. His two most recent starts in particular have made for tough viewing since just missing in much tougher Listed Balaklava Cup three starts back. Just love the fact he is being stepped back up to this trip again whilst also maps to settle a lot closer forward, enjoying the gun on-pace trail. The icing on the cake is the fact he gets big positive rider change. Simply won’t get many better opportunities to break through again and suggest the current $3.20 makes him a terrific investment. Please note Tatoosh is also a dual acceptor where he is nominated for the much tougher Group Three Sandown Stakes….if he doesn’t run suggest Hussybay ($2.75) would then become a good thing!

Darren Weir trained visitor that admittedly comes into this off the back of two just moderate efforts however shapes as a likely big improver. Expected to strip a much fitter galloper stepping up to his now preferred trip hence why this astute Stable wouldn’t be travelling him here just for the sake of it. Most interestingly is 2/2 previously third-up whilst also hard to ignore the fact this blokes only two previous South Australian runs have both resulted in two slashing Black-type placings! Must be said only meets a very moderate line-up here yet has opened a massive $9.50!! Only hitch is the fact he is first emergency….if he gains a start he shapes as the clear best value bet of the day!! Box On Collins ($3) the only danger and suggest will become a bet if Amerock doesn’t run.

Lightly raced ex-Team Hawkes galloper having first start for the Phillip Stokes Stable. Has form around some more than useful types in his brief career to date whilst has been fitted for this with a comfortable recent trial win. Has the necessary speed to fully utilise his ideal inside draw….seriously couldn’t be better placed and expect him to be horribly hard to run down against these. Suggest the opening $2.70 makes this bloke a terrific way to finish off the day….we have him rated at $2.20, and that’s being conservative!
