Ever reliable Mick Huxtable trained gelding that returned to winning form with a dominant/impressive effort two starts back. Went down narrowly as an odds-on fav last start however has overall been the punters friend having won 7/11 when fav! Maps to again lead these comfortably and love the fact Stable are electing to claim (young Chris Caserta won at his only ride previously). Expect him to simply lead and win whilst also suggesting the current $2.70 reads extremely generous!

Admittedly hasn’t won for a whopping 68 weeks and isn’t getting any younger however reckon it would also be fair to say this bloke wouldn’t have found many races during that time more suitable than this. Should be now close to peak being third-up now, maps ideally sitting just off what looks to be a genuine tempo…really fancy him at the opening $4.60!! Also respecting Pale Ale ($4.20), reckon these two runners rate clearly ahead of the rest.

Promising Mick Price trained mare that was so game when pipped right on the line by the well performed Illustrious Lad at her first start this track/distance last start. Drawn to enjoy a more favourable run here whilst again gets in well, carrying no weight down on the minimum. Given just even luck expect her to be horribly hard to hold out whilst also more than happy with the opening $4.20. Takedown ($9.50) having first start for the Weir Stable warrants plenty of respect whilst also happy to include Lope de Capio ($23) again in all exotics.

Handy six year old mare resuming. Races well fresh having finished in the money in three of her previous four first-up runs including a close-up third last campaign. Maps well to do little work sitting just off pace whilst also comes into this off a more than solid recent trial. Won her only start this track/distance…reckon the opening $10 reads as terrific each-way value!! Quiddick ($3) the logical big danger!
