Race 1: Girls Day Out Handicap 1200m
EXHILARATES (3) Well bred filly on debut from the Cummings yard. Looked good in a recent trial and stable is going very well at present. The small field suits and should be able to sit handy to the speed and be hard to beat.
Dangers:
SEBRAKATE (1) Winner of two races both in SA in solid fashion. Last start won narrowly at a very short quote. Fit and racing well however I think this is harder than what he has been meeting. KIAMICHI (4) The second of the Cummings first starters that also looked good in a recent trial. Stable has an excellent recent record with first up runners so expect her to be forward enough today to be in the finish.
Race 2: 2019 Membership 1400m
ROYAL CELEBRATION (1) Fitter for three runs back from a spell and has been ultra consistent in the 6 career runs finishing no worse than second. Last start was sent out as a very solid favourite and won well. The previous two runs were both sound behind talented types. Fit and looks hard to beat again today.
Dangers:
WAGNER (2) Won the first two starts this preparation then went to Melbourne and ran in two group races and wasn’t disgraced. This is a more suitable race and drawn to get a nice run behind the speed. Can be in the finish. PHONEME (8) Lightly raced and was a very easy winner last start breaking maiden status. This is a lot harder however looks to have ability and from the Waller yard so treating with respect.
Race 3: TAB Highway 1400m
POTENT FORCE (1) Ex Cummings runner who is first up today. Previous two runs before spell were sound in higher grade than is meeting today. He has had two recent trials as a tune up for this the most recent was very good at Bathurst winning by over 4 lengths. If ready to go will be going very close in this. Watch betting.
Dangers:
CARILLON (7) Nice effort two starts back at Armidale winning well then made it two in row bolting in at Tamworth by almost 4 lengths. This is harder however racing very well. AVE (6) The last two efforts have been very good in similar grade getting back and running on well. Last start hit the line very well to run second when well tried in the betting. SUGAR DANCE (4) Well backed at Bathurst first up and hit the line well running second. Fitter for that effort and has raced well second up in the past. Can feature in the finish.
Race 4: Schweppes Handicap 1500m
SEXY EYES (2) heavily backed last start and made a mess of them winning very easy. Should be at peak fitness now and this doesn’t look any harder. The start prior ran second to Vinnie Power who has since won again. Racing well and has strong form lines. Hard to beat again.
Dangers:
VELOCITA (4) Was well backed in betting last start at Warwick Farm and hit the line well narrowly missing the placings. Start prior ran was a strong winner. Only start here was for a win and from the Waller yard. Will be in the finish. I LIKE IT EASY (3) Specked in the betting first up and was a strong winner on pace. Last start was then easy in betting and didn’t offer a lot in the straight. Happy to forgive that effort and will be fitter for two runs back. Can be in the finish.
Race 5: Eden Brae Homes Handicap 1400m
REFLECTIVITY (4) First up and although not a winner fresh has ran well in the past first up. Last preparation ran well in similar grade including a good run at listed level at Scone. I like the performance of his recent trial which was here where he found the line well. Has been specked in early markets since they went up. Expecting a forward showing in what is an open race.
Dangers:
MAN OF PEACE (12) Good winner first up at Randwick where he was backed from $8.5 into $6 and was taken to the front and was strong to the line. Last start was run down late in what was another good performance. Makes his own luck on speed and will be in the finish again. CHAUSSURE(7) Was first up after almost 2 years away from the race track and ran well finding the line well. He is fitter for that effort and although a little bit too short in the betting can be in the finish today. GENERALISSIMO (3) Fitter for first up run where he found the line well late. Good second up record and form around Osborne Bulls reads well for a race of this class. I am reluctant to leave out of calculations.
Race 6: Australian Turf Club Handicap 2000m
SKY BOY (1) Racing well this preparation including winning the last two run in good fashion. Last start was going to win a long way out after sitting in a good position and quickening well in the straight as a short priced favourite. Starting to build a very good overall record now and although creeping up in the weights this doesn’t look any harder than last start.
Dangers:
SOLO MISSION (2) First up run was good over 1800m then a sound effort second up working to the line. Will be fitter for those two efforts I feel and ran well in higher grade races than is meeting today last preparation. Will be in the finish. MISS SHANTI (11) Found support in the betting last start and sat midfield and sprinted well in the straight to score. Previous runs were good in slightly weaker grade. Fit and if they run along in front she might be the one finishing off well. Can run into the placings. MAZAZ (6) First up run was very good behind a smart one then second up was average when well in the betting. Is better than last effort and fitter for two runs bac and performed well in similar grade last preparation. Can figure in the finish.
Race 7: The Agency Real Estate 1300m
CORSUCATE (4) Given a month fresh up and produced a nice win sitting on the speed and sprinting well to score as an easing favourite. Fitter for that effort and can push forward again from an outside draw to sit handy to the speed. Form this preparation has been very good winning 3 of 4 starts and expecting to be right in the finish again today.
Dangers:
TIP TOP (3) First two runs this preparation were very good producing strong victories. Is coing off a 6 week break for todays effort and a recent trial was sound suggesting he is ready to race well. Can win. BEACON (8) Fitter for two runs back where he has got back and hit the line solidly. That was over 1000m so they step up in trip suits as both career wins have been over long and is yet to miss a placing over this trip. From a strong and in form stable. Expecting a very forward showing.
Race 8: The Big Five Oh Handicap 1100m
BON AMIS (3) First up and a winner of 2 from 3 fresh. Last preparation ran very well in higher grade races than he is meeting today and a good recent trial victory at Newcastle suggests he is ready to go. His figures at both this venue and at this distance range is very good and drawn to sit handy in the run. Has a touch of class when right and can be in the finish today.
Dangers:
REVENIRE (1) Placed at his last five runs without winning. The two starts this preparation have both been good hitting the line well The step up in trip suits and this looks no harder than what he has been racing against. Gets in well after the claim. Can win SEDITION (8) Fitter for first up effort where he hit the line well to narrowly go down. Form last preparation was good producing a city win here. Should sit right behind the leaders from the draw and can be in the finish again today. THE LION (14) Strong winner of the Highway last start sitting wide and proving too strong to the line. This is harder however has won here in the past and drops 4kg from last start victory. One for the exotics.
Race 9: Rosehill Bowling Club Handicap 1100m
SEASONS (8) Lightly raced and first up today. Form last preparation was very good producing to good victories sitting on speed and kicking strongly in the straight both times as a very short priced favourite. Last victory at Canterbury was by over 3 lengths. Looked good in a recent trial runner second. Lightly raced and more upside than a few of these. Expecting a big showing first up.
Dangers:
ELLIE’S ENCORE (6) Very good efforts the last three starts including a good last start victory at Kensington. Fit, racing well and gets some weight relief today. Can expect her to be strong to the line again. FALERINA (13) Shorted priced favourite at Newcastle and ran on well to score narrowly. Fitter for that effort and won well at only other second up run. Has ability and can be in the finish with the right run today. MONTRACHET (10) First up and was good when last fresh winning and beating a horse called Youngstar who has since ran very well at G1 level. Recent trial looked good working to the line well. Keep an eye on betting because if forward enough could blow them away.
