Race 1: 2yo Golden Gift 1100m
SPACEBOY(4) Very impressive trial win at Warwick Farm winning by 6 lengths. Looks to have ability and from a stable that has a proven record with 2yos. Looks a strong 2yo event however I think he will be very hard to beat.
Dangers:
CARDIFF (3) Two trials for two victories. The last trial victory has by over 3 lengths in impressive fashion. From a strong stable and very well bred. Expecting to show up today. JONAH (1) One of only two in the race with race experience and wasn’t disgraced on debut running a close second to the smart Time To Reign. Expecting to be better for that effort and can run into the money today.
Race 2: TAB Highway 1500m
LADY MIRONTON (5) Sound effort first up Wagga as favourite then last start sat on the pace and kicked clear in the straight to win easily as a short priced favourite. Extra trip will be no issue and should be fitter for two runs back from a break. Avdulla goes on for the ride and form last preparation was very solid for a race of this class. Looks hard to beat.
Dangers:
CARILLON (7) Won previous two starts in good fashion before coming to town to compete in this class and wasn’t disgraced holding ground to the line when well in the betting. Can be in the finish again. POTENT FORCE (1) Easy in the betting and wasn’t too bad first up. Better for that run and form last preparation is well up to a race of this grade. Should get a good run from the draw and expecting to be in the finish. SEEBLUME (3) Last start was after a freshen up and ran on soundly. Better for the run and has won at this track and trip. Will get back from the draw however I’m expecting to be seeing her hitting the line well late.
Race 3: BM 88 Handicap 1200m
SEXY EYES (4) Racing well. Has won the last two starts in good fashion. Two starts won very very easily when heavily backed and last start ran on well again to score as a red hot favourite. Back to 1200m is a bit of a strange one after the past three good efforts have been over 1300m+ however has class and will get a soft run from the draw and can be looks to be hard to beat again.
Dangers:
DEMERARA (6) First up and fitter for a recent trial. Forget only run last preparation and go on previous preparation which reads very well including close up behind Houtzen who would be odds on favourite in this race. Looks to be right in the finish today if right. Watch betting. SWEET SCANDAL (10) Worked to the line well in recent trial for today’s first up assignment . First up form is good and is 2 from 2 at this trip. Lightly raced and has goo ability. SLOW BURN (5) First up and with a very good fresh record. Form last preparation was all at group level so will find this a bit easier today. Has had two recent trials so expecting to be ready to go.
Race 4: BM 88 Handicap 1800m
SKY BOY (2) Going really well at present winning his past three starts in good fashion. Is starting to build a good overall record winning now 5 from 10 starts and ticks all the boxes for today’s assignment. This doesn’t look a lot harder that what he has been competing against. Expecting to be hard to beat once again.
Dangers:
SAVACOOL (3) Ran on well two starts back to run second to Sky Boy then went to Flemington during Cup week and won well as favourite. Will get back from the draw so will need a touch of luck however will be working home hard. LIVE AND FREE (9) Fitter for three runs back which have been sound without winning. Form last preparation was of a future top line stayer. At peak fitness today and has ran well at this track and trip. Day is the day to show us something. FIERCE IMPACT (7) Outclassed two runs back then just sound last start working home to the line as favourite in quick time event. At peak fitness and the extra trip should suit. Can win.
Race 5: BM 88 Handicap 1300m
CRADLE MOUNTAIN (4) Very talented horse who was first up last start after two trials and won well on pace leading from barrier to box as a short priced favourite. Fitter for that effort and will again take up a forward position in the run. Has serious ability when he is right and looks hard to beat again today for BM88 handicap.
Dangers:
DYSLEXIC (7) Sound first up effort then won well last start at this track and distance. Time was good last start and fitter for two runs back. Lightly raced and still on the up. Go well. SMARTEDGE (9) First up and fitter for a recent trial. Has good fresh form and has raced well here and at this trip. If they overdo it up front he will be the one running on. PASSAGE OF TIME (5) Not bad first up when specked in the betting running second to Cradle Mountain, then just fair last start. Fitter for two runs back and can feature in the finish.
Race 6: BM 78 Handicap 1200m
LISDOONVARNA (8) Smart mare who is first up and won a recent trial at Warwick Farm in good fashion. Only missed the placings twice in ten starts and has raced well at this distance and track in the past. Form last preparation was good at 3yo level. Expecting to show up fresh.
Dangers:
DEITY (10) Up for a while however continues to race well. A good run last start in a very quick time event running on strongly to narrowly go down. Continues to hold form and cant rule out of contention today. ISLAND MISSILE (5) First up and fitter for two recent trials. First up form is good and form last preparation was good enough for a race of this class. From strong yard and expecting a bold run. ONSLAUGHT (4) First up and fitter for a recent trial which was good. The last two times he has raced in the same or similar company and won well both times. Looks over the odds at $31 and from a strong yard.
Race 7: Country Classic 2000m
RAPTURE MISS (16) Good winner three starts back then sound running on well in similar grade. Last start stepping up to the 1800m just behind the speed and went down narrowly. This is a more suitable grade and I think the step up to the 2000m will cause no issues. McEvoy goes on and drawn well. Open race however will be right in the finish I feel.
Dangers:
MOST EXALTED (8) Fitter for four runs back from a spell and last start wasn’t too bad working to the line. Extra distance looks to suit and the drop back to this grade after racing in city class races will also suit. Gets a soft run and can be in the finish with even luck. RED KNOT (1) The last four runs were all good including two victories prior to a forget effort in town last start. Is better than that and drops back in grade today. Trip a small query however expecting to bounce back today. ATHENA’S VOICE (18) Nice second last start behind Keep Up who has since won again and the start prior at this level was sound working to the line. Trip looks no issue and gets back from the wide draw however expecting to be hitting the line late. Can place.
Race 8: BM 78 Handicap 1500m
CHAUSSURE (7) Very good first up after almost a year away from the scene then good again second up hitting the line well in a quick time event. Fitter for two runs back and drawn to get a nice run behind the speed and McDonald gets the ride today. Lightly raced and has more upside than a few of these. Expecting to be in the finish.
Dangers:
NAPOLEON SOLO (14) Broke maiden status last start as a very short priced favourite and in quick time. Might just go on with it now and is from a strong yard. A big run wouldn’t surprise again. LAUSSEL (10) Given a quiet trial before sound first up effort when very easy in the betting. Fitter for that run and the step up in trip looks to suit. Can be in the finish. BLACK SAIL (4) Won well at Cranbourne three starts back then the last two starts have been good on pace in quick time events. A big respect from this stable and will race on the speed. Can run into the placings.
Race 9: BM 78 Handicap 1500m
ORGANZA (8) Was given two trials prior to first up run which was very good hitting the line very well to run third when specked in the betting. Fitter for that run and the step up in trip should suit. Form last preparation was good for a race of this class and from a strong stable expecting a bold showing. Watch betting.

CAMPARI (12) Lightly raced NZer who won well in first start here at Gosford three starts back then just fiar two starts back then bounced backed to form last start winning well in a very quick time event. Looks to be at peak fitness today and a clear winning chance. SO YOU WIN (4) First up run was good when specked in the betting run on well to narrowly miss the placings. Fitter for that effort and goes very well second up. Form last preparation was very good at group level. Is above average and can be in the finish here. REFLECTIVITY (2) Worked to line well first up and fitter for that effort. Form last preparation was good and trip suits. From strong stable. Keep safe.
