Race 4: ANZ Bloodstock News 1000m
BEWARE (8)First up and looked good on debut winning his maiden at Gosford. Gets in well at weights for today’s run and looked the part in a recent trial. There is some key gear changes for him today and from a very strong stable and T Berry with the ride. A lot to like about him
Dangers:
ELLIE’S ENCORE (3) Fitter for three runs back from a spell. Last two starts have been here and and raced very well on pace without winning. Goes well on rain affected tracks and gets in well after the claim. Can take up a forward role from and outside barrier. REPRIMAND (7) Lightly raced and bolted in first up at Wellington winning by over 6 lengths. The two runs last preparation at Dubbo also produced two very good victories. Steps up in grade today, however is low flying at present.
Race 5: The Agency Real Estate 1400m
CAMPARI (6). Won well first up at Gosford in first run in Australia since arriving from NZ where she did run a placing at listed level. Fitter for that effort and the extra distance and heavy surface looks to be a plus to her chances. Should get a good run behind the speed and be right in the finish. Currently $3.3
Dangers:
ANDAZ (5)Nice effort two starts back at Rosehill working to the line well, then last start on a heavy track here worked home soundly to run second. Fitter, racing well and from a strong yard. Must include. WATCHDOG (4) Solid performance first up at Kembla Grange running second as a short priced favourite then last start won well on a soft track at Wyong again was well in the market. Wet track no issue and extra trip looks a plus. CHASSURE (1) Almost been off the scene for two years. However did look to be above average in the starts he has had winning two from three. Will need this however keep an eye on the betting and has a touch of class.
Race 6: Bowerman’s Office Furniture 1200m
PIERINA (1) First up and a winner of two from three since arriving in Australia. Won well first up last preparation at Scone breaking maiden status. Has trialed twice leading into this which looked good o the eye. Small query on the heavy track however has more upside than a few of these. Expecting to go close.
Dangers:
POHUTUKAWA (12) First up and raced well in only three starts in her first preparation. Expecting to have improved and only career win came on a heavy track. Avdulla goes on. Watch betting. SO MAGIC (9) First up and trialed twice leading into this today. Trained on the track and form in first preparation was very sound for a race of this class. Solid winner at Gosford prior to going to the paddock. Can feature. SWEET AVA (5) Has raced well in the past at group level behind the likes of Sunlight. Fitter for two runs back from a spell and can feature in the finish with the right run.
Race 7: Australian Turf Club 1600m
VELOCITA (2) Broke through last start at third run in for the preparation here and on a heavy track. Should be at peak now and extra trip looks to suit and she raced in the SA Oaks. Avdulla goes on and drawn well to get a nice run. Looks hard to beat.
Dangers:
DANZIE (6) Fitter for three runs back from a spell. Last start was a forgive in my books getting to the wrong part of the track in the straight when well in the betting. Previous runs were good. Can bounce back. KAAPFEVER (12) Got abit to far back last start and better sited back to 1600m. Fit and has run well at this trip on rain affected tracks in the past. Can feature. NOBLE TRUTH (8) Didn’t do a lot first up then sharp improvement second up at Wyong at a big price. Goes very well on rain affected tracks and at this trip. Expecting a forward showing.
