Race 1: Lack Group Handicap 1100m
TIME TO REIGN (1) Impressive at debut being taken straight to the front and quickened well in the straight to score well. Sure to be fitter for that effort and again roll forward from the draw. No flash odds however does look to have good ability and from a stable that does a great job with its 2yos.
Dangers:
JONAH (3) Fitter for two recent trials and from strong yard. Most recent trial was good winning at Randwick. Expecting to show up. Watch betting. ESPINOLA (2) Debut run was sound up the straight at Flemington then taken to Bendigo where he scored well as an easing favourite. Has a fitness edge on rivals and should get a nice run just behind the speed. Can feature.
Race 2: Dynaton Sales & Hire Handicap 1200m
ROHERYN (3) Two impressive trial wins prior to strong debut victory at Warwick Farm as an odds on favourite. Fitter for that effort and should only be improved getting back onto a firmer surface. Stable is going well and looks very hard to beat again today.
Dangers:
BRAZILICA (5) Winner of two trials prior to debut victory as a heavily backed favourite. She was able to sit forward in the run and let down well to win running away at Kensington. Looks a clear threat. THE TENOR (2) Nice first up effort at Gosford winning well as a very short priced favourite then sound behind a couple of smart ones at listed level last start. This is easier and racing well. Watch betting.
Race 3: TAB Highway 1200m
HANDLE THE TRUTH (1) Good winner two starts back at this track, class and trip sitting just behind the speed and proving to strong in the straight. Last start worked to line well after drawing very wide in what was another solid performance. Fit, racing well and will appreciate a harder surface today. Looks to be right in the finish.
Dangers:
CHEWBACCA (4) Two starts back was a very good winner in a BM58 after stepping out of a maiden victory. First up today and has a good fresh record. Expecting a positive showing today. Watch betting. BANK OF ERIN (6) Hasn’t missed a placing in 6 career starts and last start at Albury ran home well to run second as an easing favourite. Rises in grade today however is fit and racing well. Reluctant to leave out of calculations. TE ATA (12) Flew home late last start at Wagga to run second when well in the market. This is harder however will be running on late. Can feature in the placings.
Race 4: Lidoran Group Handicap 1900m
THE LORD MAYOR (5) Nice run last weekend at Moonee Valley sitting forward in the run and battling on well to run second. The two starts prior were at group level. He gets back to a more suitable class event today. Last win was at this venue over a similar trip. Looks well drawn to hold a good position and will take beating today.
Dangers:
NAVAL WARFARE (7) Fitter for three runs back from a spell and wasn’t too far away from the winner last weekend. Looks to peaking in fitness today and has ran a recent second at listed level. Has the class to feature in this. MASK OF TIME (3) G3 win last start at Caulfield when very well backed ($12-$6.5. Stable is doing a very good job when travelling them to Sydney and previous runs were sound in higher class events. If he handles Rosehill he will be in the finish.
Race 5: Turner Freeman 2400m
RAQEEQ (5) Worked to the line well last weekend behind Sky Boy when specked in the betting. I like the quick back up and the previous three runs finished no worse than 2 lengths from the winner. Tricky little event however very fit and will be in the finish again today
Dangers:
SOCIAL ELEMENT (2) Stepped up to listed level last start an ran a very strong second on pace at a big price. Record is not flash here however a repeat effort of last start has him right in the finish. IS from a strong stable. DOUKHAN (1) Huge run last start running second at $101 after being first up at 2000m. Fitter for that performance and form last preparation was good in higher grade than is metting today. 3 of his 6 career wins have come second up. Keep safe.
Race 6: Cfmeu Mining & Energy Handicap 1300m
SCHUBERT (5) Fitter for two runs back from a spell which have both been sound and drawn to get a nice run behind the leaders. Form is good at this trip and track and the run two starts back around Sexy Eyes now reads well for this after she won very easy last Saturday.
Dangers:
MURRAHIB (3) Battled on well last start at Caulfield behind two smart runners when specked in the betting. Has placed at this course and is one for one at the trip. Can feature in the finish with the right run. CAERLESS CHOICE (1) First up and with a very good fresh record. Last preparation ran some nice races without winning behind some talented gallopers. Watch betting as can feature in the finish. ORGANZA (9) First up and fitter for two recent trials where she looked good. Form last preparation was good winning three on the hop at one stage in lower grade. With natural improvement can feature in the finish.
Race 7: Amwu Handicap 1200m
DAWN DAWN (8) Big run first up at Caulfield at G3 level when specked in the betting. Fitter for that performance and has a good second up record. Won well at this track and trip before going to the paddock. Lightly raced and is a winner from three from eight. Might have more upside than most of these. Goes close again today.
Dangers:
NEWSFAN (3) Last start before going for a spell was very good in the provincial championship final running on very well in a quick time event. Won a trial nicely at Wyong as a tune up for this. Expecting a forward showing and looks a clear danger. TEST THE WORLD (1) Fitter for first up effort which was at G3 level and wasn’t disgraced. A very good second up record and record at this track. Expecting a forward showing.
Race 8: Bradford Black 1200m
CRADLE MOUNTAIN (10) First up and very talented. Forget the last run at Scone and go on the start prior at Randwick winning in a sizzling 1.08.15 for the 1200m as a well backed favourite. Has been tuned up with two nice trials leading into this event and looks a real group horse in the making. If right will win this.
Dangers:
ISAURIAN (3) Back after a little freshen and has a very good fresh record. Last start at Moonee Valley lead and was rundown late as a short priced favourite. Can feature in the finish here. STAR OF MONSOON (8) First up and a winner of two from five first up. Races well here and drawn to hold a forward position in the run. PIRACY (7) Given a freshen after its last start win here in good fashion. Recent trial was good and from good stable. Can run into the placings today.
Race 9: Bradford Energy 1500m
FIERCE IMPACT (8) First up run was very good hitting the line well then last start was thrown into the deep end at G1 level in the Toorak at Caulfield and wasn’t disgraced. Fitter for two runs back and back to a more suitable grade will be running on and looks hard to beat in this.
Dangers:
MEROVEE (12) A nice win two starts back siting back in the field and powering home to score. Last start wasn’t that far away working to the line well. Back to Rosehill suits and can feature in th finish. MANHATTAN MIST (9) Fitter for two runs back from a spell then went to Wyong where he was a very well backed favourite and strolled home. Fit and in form. MAHALANGUR (7) A winner of the past two in good fashion. Last start was well supported in the betting and sat just behind the speed and won well. Races best with the sting out of the track so any rain would be a plus. Can win.
