Race 1: 2yo Handicap 1100m
KRAMERIC (2) A good effort on debut getting back and hitting the line in good style. Should be fitter for that effort and the extra trip will suit. Has since been in a trial where he looked impressive to the eye. Bowman goes on top for the ride and from the strong Waller yard. Expecting a very good showing today.
Dangers:
STRASBOURG (7) Fitter for two trials and from strong stable. Last trial was behind the Tassort who won very well on debut. Keep an eye on betting looks to have ability. NUCLEAR SUMMIT (6) Very good trial winner by over 2 lengths in a good tune up for today’ event. Drawn well and can be in the finish. TORCHED (9) Strong trial winner in Melbourne and from a stable that has an excellent record with 2yos and Avdulla has the ride. Must be respected.
Race 2: BM 78 Handicap 1100m
REGIMEN (5) Fitter for two runs back from a spell which have both been good efforts. Last start got back and hit the line well to narrowly go down. Drawn a touch tricky however Bowman gets the ride and from strong yard. Has run well at the track and trip in the past. Looks ready for a peak run.
Dangers:
ORIA (6) Lightly raced and rarely runs a bad race. First up today and has been given two quiet trials in lead up to today’s event. Drawn well and is a winner at this venue and distance. Expecting bold showing. EASY EDDIE (1) First up and fitter for two recent trials. Form last preparation is very strong for a race of this class. Has a big weight however has a class edge on his rivals. Can win if ready to go. SKYRAY (8) Fitter for first up run and has won three of his four previous runs. Hardest test today however is racing well.
Race 3: TAB Highway Handicap 1200m
NOBLE BOY (5) two runs for two victories and both have been impressive sitting off the pace and sprinting well to score. Should be better for those two efforts and gets the services of JMac today. Steps up to hardest task to date however looks to have his fair share of ability. Go well
Dangers:
COUP DE MAIN (1) First up and a winner of two from three starts. Last preparation ran well in this class as a short priced favourite running second. Has the ability to take this out today. IRISH SONGS (8) Impressive winner first up as a short priced favourite. Fitter for that effort and does have a good run behind Thinkin’ Big a few starts back which reads very well for a race of this class. Can win. NICCONITA (4) Only missed the placings once in ten career starts. The last four starts have been in this class and produced four seconds. Right in the mix again today.
Race 4: ATC Cup 2000m
SAVACOOL (6) Good second to Sky Boy two starts v=back hitting the line well then went to Melbourne during cup week and ws a strong winner. Fit, racing well and has a very good record on rain affected tracks. He should get a good run from the draw. Clearly the one to beat
Dangers:
OUR CENTURY (3) First up effort over 1900m was very good winning well. Should only be improved off that effort and has a good run on a heavy track to his name. Good record at this track and trip. Looks the clear danger. EXOTERIC (4) Holding form and has a good record at both this trip and on rain affected tracks. He was well backed on a Soft 7 two starts back and won well. He is from the Waller yard and JMac rides. Will be in the finish.
Race 5: BM 78 Handicap 2400m
THE BANDIT (5) Very strong winner last start over 2500m by over three lengths on a quick back up. Is on another quick back up today and should take up a forward position from the draw. This only looks marginally harder than last start. Small query on a heavy track however has the fitness to get through the mud.
Dangers:
SOLO MISSION (3) Fitter for three runs back and the last two runs behind Sky Boy have been sound. Should be at peak fitness now and has raced well on heavy tracks in the past. Can win with the right run. HEARTLET (12) Did beat The Bandit last start at Randwick over 2400m and form on rain affected tracks is good. Three starts back on a soft 7 she bolted in at Wyong. Not the worst $10 chance today. EQUIPPED (9) Should be at peak fitness after four runs back and Avdulla has the ride. Is a winner over 2300m and stable has a good record with stayers. Expecting an improved showing.
Race 6: Festival Stakes 1500m
PECANS (4) Talented horse that has a very good overall record. His first up run at Hawkesbury he won well in a good time over 1400m. Should only be improved from that effort and was a multiple group winner last preparation. Has recorded victories of both soft and heavy tracks so the wet conditions should pose no issues. One to beat.
Dangers:
MY NORDIC HERO (8) First up run was very good hitting the line hard when specked in the betting. His second up record is excellent being a winner of 2 from 3 and has ran well on rain affected tracks. Looks a big threat today. SPECTROSCOPE (7) First up run was good on pace run third and narrowly going down. Last start at Flemington during Cup week the run was better than it looked hitting the line well and not that far behind the winner. Goes well on both Soft and Heavy tracks. His best is good enough to win.
Race 7: Starlight Stakes 1100m
MARSUPIAL (6) Very good first up run narrowly going down then last start was very impressive winning in a very quick time. Should only be improved with those two runs and has ran well on rain affected tracks. Looks to have comeback in very good order this preparation and from strong stable. One to beat in this.
Dangers:
DEPLOY (1) First up and did run in The Everest last preparation. Did string together some excellent runs last preparation winning in track record times. Fitter for two trials and goes well fresh. Watch betting has he has the ability to blow them away if ready to go. SPENDING TO WIN (3) Good winner at Caulfield first up then happy to forgive last start at Sandown. Form last preparation was good running well at listed level. I think the rain affected track is a plus and goes well at this trip. Can run into the placings today.
Race 8: BM 88 Handicap 1300m
REVENIRE (8) First up run at Randwick on a Heavy 9 was very good hitting the line well to run second. He then followed it up with another good effort second up then happy to forgive last start up the straight during Cup week. Back to Sydney and back on rain affected going is his go and peaks in fitness today. Looks hard to beat.
Dangers:
MAPMAKER (10) The last two runs have been good since stepping up to a more suitable trip. Drawn well and has a good record on rain affected tracks and should be at peak fitness. Can be in the finish. BEAU GESTE (11) Fitter for three runs back from a break and happy to forgive the two heavy track runs where there were excuses. His best form is good enough to be more than competitive in a race of this class. CATESBY (9) First up run at this track and trip was good on pace running third. Fitter for that effort and did beat Sexy Eyes two starts back which reads well for a race of this class. Small query on a heavy track however if he handles the going can be in the finish.
Race 9: BM 88 Handicap 1500m
SEXY EYES (5) Racing well this preparation. Bolted in two starts back at Randwick when heavily back and last start as a $1.3 favourite won again narrowly. Fit, racing well and JMac gets the ride. Should get back from the drawn and be running home hard again. The one to beat in this.
Dangers:
GAULOIS (2) Had two trials prior to first up run which was sound working to the line well. Good second up record and Bowman goes on top for the ride. Has the class to take this out with the right run. NOTIO (8) First up from a break and won well in quick time. Should only be fitter for that run and has run well on rain affected tracks in the past. From strong yard. Can be in the finish. TIP TOP (4) Solid performance after a freshen up then last start was good behind the flying Cradle Mountain. On a quick back up today and races well on a rain affected track. Not the worst.
