Race 1 – TAB HIGHWAY HANDICAP (1000M)
Equal Balance (1) – Big run first up flashing home to run second. Good second up record and excellent record over this trip. Watch for him to be flashing home late.
Lifesaver (4) – Sat just behind the speed first up and proved too strong. Drawn a touch awkwardly today however can push forward and from strong yard. Expecting to be in the finish again.
Sei Stella (10) – Real speedster. First up and both career 1000m wins have come in good time. Should be leading them up and give them something to catch in the straight. Currently $4.6.
Bocelli (3) – First up and only 1000m victory was when he was on debut. Ran well in this grade last preparation. Will get back from an inside draw and I expect to finishing off hard late.
Race 2 – SCHWEPPES HERITAGE STAKES (1100M)
Neutrality (3) – Led and run down late first up. Fitter for that effort and drawn to cross to sit outside the lead. Has ability and from strong yard and McEvoy stays on. Goes close again.
Santos (1) – Good first up record and looked the part in two recent trials. First up last preparation won well at this track and distance. Bowman on and looks to get a soft run off the pace.
Charge (4) – Bolted in first up to break maiden status at Warwick Farm in good time. Stepped up in grade last start and tried hard running second. JMac goes on and drawn well.
Race 3 – SHOOT OUT MILE (1600M)
Another Dollar (5) – Big run first up finishing off well over 1400m. The step up in trip looks to suit and won well when last second up. Will need a touch of luck from the draw. However looks to go close again.
All Too Soon (11) – Very good winner two starts back then last time stepped up in trip and was trapped wide throughout. Peaks in condition today for mine. Looks a clear second pick.
Muraaqeb (4) – Fitter for two runs back from a spell. Not in the best part of the track when close behind Osborne Bulls two starts back. Track and trip winner. Can be in the finish.
Goodfella (3) – Writing was on the wall two starts back then last start fought hard to score on pace. Will look to push forward again today and will give them something to catch in the straight.
Race 4 – THE SHORTS (1000M)
Redzel (1) – Sat on pace first up and won well in quick time. Fitter for that effort and a three time winner second up. Short in price however does look very hard to beat again.
Invincible Star (6) – First up last start and led them up however was no match late for Redzel. Fitter for that effort and bolted in at only second up start. Can give the favourite a shake with right run.
Ball Of Muscle (5) – God winner first up at Caulfield sitting on pace and proving to strong. Fitter for that effort and three time winner second up. Can be in the finish again with right run.
Race 5 – BILL RITCHIE HANDICAP (1400M)
Pierata (2) – Looked good in two trials before winning very well here in slashing time. Fitter for that effort and step up in trip looks to suit even more. High class performer.
Paret (12) – Starting to show what he promised early doors. Winner of the past three starts in good time, getting back on finishing off very well to score. Fit and racing well however it’s his biggest test.
Siege Of Quebec (8) – Good effort first up running second and beating the rest easily. Last start was a total forget effort. Step up in trip suits and can hold forward position again today.
Race 6 – COLGATE OPTIC WHITE STAKES (1600M)
Winx (6) – What more can be said that hasn’t? The Best! For the multiples throw in Le Romain & Unforgotten. Who are both racing well however face the hardest task in racing today.
Race 7 – DARLEY TEA ROSE STAKES (1400M)
Pretty In Pink (5) – Very good first up running on well to place in a quick run race. Only other second up run was a victory. Fitter for that effort and the extra distance although a query looks to suit. Hard to beat.
Madam Rouge (9) – Nice first up win at Canterbury sitting behind the speed and proving to strong. Fitter for that effort and extra distance suits. Lightly raced and on the up. Currently $11.
Oohood (2) – Best maiden in Australia? Last two starts has run on well when sent out as favourite in both. Fitter and step up in trip suits. Due to snatch one of these big ones soon.
Fiesta (3) – Good winner first up here in quick time then again last start finished off well to narrowly go down. Classy performer and Bowman stays on. Currently $6.5.
Race 8 – KINGSTON TOWN STAKES (2000M)
Avilius (5) – Two starts in Australia for two good wins. Last start up in trip sat back and sprinted to well to score. Fitter for those two efforts and extra 100m looks to suit even more. Goes close again.
I Am Serious (15) – Rattled home first up to run second then up sharply in trip second up running another good second. Looks to be overs in early betting markets at $11.
Sedanzer (8) – Ran home well first up in the Chelmsford. Fitter for that effort and extra distance looks to suit. Is unbeaten second up. Tricky barrier however have to respect.
Brimham Rocks (18) – Good first up run behind Avilius then second up ran on well to finish third. Peaking in fitness and drawn to get a soft run off the speed. Can feature in the finish.
Race 9 – E GROUP SECURITY HANDICAP (1200M)
Trekking (2) – Ran on well to score first then again second up run on well to narrowly go down as favourite. Peaking in fitness now and McEvoy stays on. Expecting anther bold showing.Marsupial (3) – First up and tuned up nicely with two recent trials. Ran well at group level last preparation and Bowman goes on. Tricky draw the only query. Expecting him to be running on late.
Eawase (12) – Won a maiden at Randwick first up last preparation then went straight to listed level and flashed home again to score. First up today however looks to be well above average. Currently $6.
Manhattan Mist (9) – First up and no worse than second in seven runs! First up last campaign bolted in at Wyong in quick time. Recent trial looked good. Not the worst. Currently $11.
