Best Race 8 no 5 ITS TIME FOR MAGIC
Race 2 no 4 PAINTE
Darren Weir trained visitor that admittedly doesn’t win out of turn, in fact concede has in fact been out of the winners circle for just over two years! Now having got that out of the way let us now start to explain why we are son keen on this ‘seemingly non-winner’. Must be said has found himself tackling mostly much stronger opposition than this for most of his career, whilst also having to carry much bigger weights. Gets the huge double positive here, finally gets the drop in grade he has been crying out for so long whilst also dropping significantly in the weights….in fact hasn’t got in this light for a whopping two years! Maps ideally settling handy up on what just appears a very moderate tempo…..certainly pretty keen to get involved here at the opening $4.40!

Race 4 No 1 MODULATE
Honest Richard Jolly trained three year old gelding that returned with a terrific runner-up effort, hitting the line strongly when taking good late ground off all the way winner Atlantica. Expect him to have only taken plenty of improvement for having had that run, whilst also appears particularly well placed dropping in grade as well as at the weights after the claim. Maps to settle a lot closer forward from the ideal draw, in a race with very little obvious pressure up-front. Would be most disappointed if he wasn’t again right in the finish against these….yet has opened at lovely each-way overs.

Race 7 No 2 SHE’S BENEFICIAL
Country Victorian visitor that was far from disgraced when kept hitting the line first-up. Expecting a much more forward showing here now she has that run under her belt, especially given the fact she gets the senior rider jumping back aboard whilst also drawing ideally to receive the run of the race. Really must be said has found an extremely winnable race and most notably did win second-up last campaign whilst chances would even be further enhanced given the expected give in the track. Reckon she is way overs at the current $6 on offer!

Race 8 No 5 ITS TIME FOR MAGIC
Ex-Sydney sider that was more than solid when runner-up at first South Australia run last time out. Beat home Hard Empire on that occasion…. comfortably by 2L, with that galloper since coming out and winning impressively further franking those formlines. This is a slight drop in grade, drawn ideally to enjoy ideal on-pace trail leaders backs, yet actually drops 1kg after young Huxtables claim. Will Clarken has a great record improving runners when they join his Stable and expect this mare to be no exception. Reckon she rates a terrific investment to round out the program at the current $3.50.
