Race 1: BM 74 Handicap 1000m

STAR FALL (1) He has been excellent this preparation winning two both starts in impressive fashion. Last start was at Caulfield and sat on pace and came away for a comfortable victory and in good time as a short priced favourite. Should only be further improved and should get a nice run again on speed. Looks hard to beat.

Dangers:

STAR BOY (3) First up and fitter for recent trial victory. Strung 3 wins in a row together last preparation in lower grades. This is harder however has ability. Watch betting. DESIGNER MAID (7) Two wins this preparation at Newcastle have been very good on pace and running time. Up in class and down in weight. Can be in the finish with the right run.

Race 2: TAB Highway Handicap 1600m

HEMMERLE (1) Fitter for two runs back this preparation which have both been good at this level. Last start sat midfield at Warwick Farm and made steady ground to the line to narrowly go down as an easing favourite. Should be at peak fitness now and can get the job done in this event I feel.

Dangers:

HAAMES (5) Fitter for two good placings at Taree in the two runs this preparation. Last start was sent out as short priced favourite and ran home well. Form last preparation was good in this class. SAARIM (12) Good winner at Canberra two starts back then was run down late in this grade at big odds last start. Can roll forward and gets in well after the claim. Not the worst. MINA HARKER (6) First up and fitter for two recent trials. Has won here and first up. Can sneak into the placings with the right run.

Race 3: BM 78 Handicap 1200m

TANIKO (10) Racing well this preparation. Got well back two starts ago at Canterbury and finished off well to score then last start again ran home strongly in a very slick time event. Gets in well at the weights and it doesn’t look much harder than last start. Fit and from a strong yard. Goes well again.

Dangers:

SIKHING GLORY (6) Three runs back from over 12 months away from the races have all been good placing in all three. Handles a rain affected track and rarely runs a bad race. Can feature in the finish. PUMPKIN PIE (7) Fitter for two good trial victories prior to first up run which was good working to the line. She has won twice second up and twice on a soft track. I am expecting a big run today.

Race 4: BM 78 Handicap 1500m

TORYJOY (6) Very good win last start rolling to the front as a well supported favourite and was to strong down the straight and in good time. The form from that race has been franked with the place getters and goes well at this trip and on rain affected tracks. Can feature in the finish again today.

Dangers:

SEAHAMPTON (11) Fitter for two runs back from a spell and last start was a much improved effort. Drawn well and last victory was on a rain affected track at this course. Has ability and Im expecting a very forward showing today. BELLA SUCCESS (7) Good winner first up on a heavy track then I am happy to forgive the next two runs. She is at peak fitness today and from the Waller yard, I’m reluctant to leave out of calculations. Gets in well after the claim.

Race 5: Summer Sprint 1000m

JUNGLE EDGE (1) Marvel. He is the class runner of the field and flies on a wet track. Last start won well at Ballarat on a soft 7 being taken to the front and proving to strong. Numerous good runs at G1 level on rain affected tracks and rolls forward in his races. Big weight however the wetter the better for him.

Dangers:

FROLIC (4) First up and fitter for two recent trials. Good runs behind the likes of Shoals & Houtzen and both career wins were at this venue. Keep an eye on betting. SINGLE BULLET (8) Strong winner at this track and distance two starts back and both career wins have been on rain affected tracks. Up in class from sound effort last start however can be in the finish today with the right run.

Race 6: BM 78 Handicap 2400m

DEVIL’S LAIR (10) First go at this trip last start and sat slightly worse than midfield on turning and ran home strongly to run second. Previous start was a strong win at Warwick Farm over 2200m. In what is a very even race he will obtain a nice run from the draw and drops 4kg from last start. Looks at good bet at around $6.5

Dangers:

SOLO MISSION (5) A winner at 2400m and has been racing well without winning. Will drift back from a wide draw however will be running on finding the line. A must for the multiples. TUNERO (7) Sent out as favourite last start over this trip and ran well to score narrowly as favourite. Handles a wet track and the trip however does meet a few rivals a touch worse at the weights. Should still run well. EQUIPPED (8) Worked to the line solidly last start over this track and trip working to the line in good fashion. Has won over this trip and stable has a proven record with stayers. Can feature in the finish.

Race 7: BM 88 Handicap 1400m

ORGANZA (5) Has either won or finished no worse than a length from the winner in all four runs this preparation. Last start ran on well to narrowly go down at G3 level and the start prior very good on pace at Randwick. Should obtain a soft run from the barrier and is proven on a rain affected track. Looks hard to beat today.

Dangers:

SWEET DEAL (6) Very good this preparation with two wins and two good seconds. Last start was well tried in betting and narrowly went down after racing on pace. Talented mare who goes well at this trip. Just a small query if it gets very wet. Watch betting PARET (3) First up and fitter for a recent trial. He raced well last preparation winning three in a row before sound efforts at group level. Has his share of ability. Can win.

Race 8: BM 78 Handicap 1500m

THY KINGDOM COME (9) Was taken to the front last start and bolted in winning by almost 5 lengths in quick time. Linda Meech with the ride is a big plus as she is excellent in rating leaders and the step up in trip looks to suit. Form from last start has also been franked with second winning well during the week. Looks hard to beat.

Dangers:

CHALMERS (10) On a quick back up from last start at Canterbury where he hit the line well to run second. Will appreciate the weight drop and handles a rain affected track. Can feature in the finish. TURNBERRY (1) Stepped up to 1800m last start and was rundown late. Fit and back to a more suitable trip and form this preparation has been very good in all 4 runs on pace. Can feature again today.

Race 9: BM 78 Handicap 1800m

LIVE AND FREE (3) Appreciated the drop in class and it was back to winning ways last start sitting well back and powering home to score when well supported in the betting. This is no harder than last start and gets in well after the 3kg claim. Expecting him to be sitting back and powering home again. Is very good on his day.

Dangers:

INTUERI (13) Fitter for two runs back from a spell. Last start was quickly up to 1600m and ran well on pace narrowly going down. Drawn to get a soft run behind the speed and can be in the finish. Makes good each way appeal at the $12. ASTORIA (1) Consistent galloper who struggles to win. Last start when back in trip was sound to the line. Back up to a more suitable trip and will handle the wet. Has raced well in the past in much higher grades than is meeting today. Another than makes each way appeal. ISLAND MISSILE (11) Fitter for three runs back from a spell and has ran well at this trip before. Form lines fit in around the favourites, however a small query on a wet track.
