Lightly raced Tony McEvoy gelding that appears to have come back in terrific fashion having spent nearly a year on the sidelines. Bolted in first-up before starting favourite just last week when still far from disgraced behind all the way winner. Love the fact he is on the quick back-up whilst also likely to appreciate drop in weight (2.5kg). The engagement of Jamie Kah is simply the icing on the cake. Country Victorian visitor that produced a terrific effort to score first-up before having plenty of excuses when still far from disgraced last time out. Expected to be now close to peak fitness with previous third-up form backing up that theory as he is yet to miss a place third-up. Maps to enjoy every chance sitting up handy on just a moderate tempo whilst Heavy track form implies that he simply swims! Reckon this bloke will give supporters a great sight….each way all day at the current $8!

More than handy Phillip Stokes trained mare that has produced two eye-catching runs since resuming. Has got well out of her ground having found initial trouble at the start on each occasion, however her closing sectionals suggest she has returned as well as ever. Expected to now be close to peak fitness whilst also importantly noting that she won impressively when last produced third-up. Also clearly best suited to current rain affected tracks hence expected to relish Saturdays likely Heavy track. Gets race run to suit with a stack of speed engaged up front with the likes of Ogunde and Bella Vino pouring the pressure on up front. Given this mare is capable of producing a big sprint expect her to give this a big shake given just even luck.

Race 8 No 4 ROSELLI STING
Thought there was a lot to like about this blokes first-up run when producing fastest final sectionals against tougher company over unsuitable 1050m trip. Appears much better suited here, dropping in grade whilst also stepping up to more suitable 1400m trip. Have no doubt he has the best sprint in the race, will just need that ounce of luck that can sometimes desert him. Surely only strips fitter again and has placed in 2/3 previous Heavy track starts….certainly shapes as a nice each way investment at the current $6.50 to round out proceedings.
