Race 4 – WINTER RACING HANDICAP (1400M)
Island Missile (1) – Solid performance first up at Randwick then ran on well behind the smart Seahampton. Should only be improved from those runs and form last preparation is excellent for a race of this class.
Buffy (8) – Last two starts have produced good seconds at Canterbury racing forward. Drawn to get a similar run again and is rock hard fit no reason why she cant be in the finish again.
Divine Breeze (5) – Might of needed the run first up and not handled the soft track. Fitter for that effort and form last preparation was very good including a second up victory. A bounce back to form wouldn’t surprise.
Versetto (7) – Good winner two starts back at Gosford scoring narrowly then solid again last start here in a quick time event. That was off a quick freshen,. Fitter and blinkers go on today.
Race 5 – TAB REWARDS HANDICAP (2200M)
Kentucky Diva (10) – Solid debut effort running on well to run a good second then last start responded under riding to break maiden status. Lightly raced and more upside than a few of these.
Shock Alert (1) – Taken to the front last start here and won well. Forgiving only start at this distance ran and drawn to roll forward again. Fit and racing well. Currently $6.
Follow Suit (2) – Forgiving last start effort and go on previous two runs both were here and both behind in form horses. Bowman goes on and should get a soft run from the draw. Expecting a bounce back.
Race 6 – HALF YEARLY MEMBERSHIP HANDICAP (1300M)
Tonsor (4) – Good winner on debut then last start worked hard in front and kicked strongly to narrowly claim victory again. Lightly raced and on the up. Goes close again.
Tenorino (3) – Unlucky the last three runs finding trouble in the straight. On the quick back up today and dropping in class are the big ticks. Expecting to see him running on late.Rockafella (7) – Last two runs have been good running on then last start racing wide. Form at this track is better than it reads and will appreciate the drop in class today. Currently $7.
Tswalu (2) – Fitter for two runs back from a spell. Last start raced wide and was solid to the line. Did win last preparation here third up. From strong yard and expecting her to be there again.
Race 7 – KERMADEC AT DARLEY HANDICAP (1600M)
Curragh (1) – Nice run last start hitting the line hard to run third in a much higher grade event. Drawn to get a soft run and has raced well at this trip in the past. One to beat for mine.
Hammond Lane (6) – A touch unlucky to have not won the past two starts at Canterbury in running second. Bowman goes on today and has raced well here in the past. Can win.
Ataraxia (5) – Didn’t do a lot first up however will be fitter for the effort and previous form reads very well for a race of this class winning at listed level. McEvoy on and from strong yard. Keep an eye on betting. Currently $18.
Intueri (4) – All runs this preparation have been ok without threatening to win. Drawn well, Avdulla on and from strong yard and previous form is good enough for a race of this class. Keep safe.
