Race 1: Victory Vein Plate 1000m

ANAHEED (9) A Team Snowden first starter that looked good winning on a heavy track in a recent trial. Both the sire and dam were 2yo winners so expecting her to be ready to go first up today in what is a very tricky race.

Dangers:

DISRUPTOR (2) Well bred colt that looked good in a recent trial getting back and running on strongly on a rain affected track. This stable usually has very well educated 2yo and Melham with ride. Expecting to be in the finish. ZOUSHACK (7) $250k colt from the Hayes yard that looked good winning a recent trial by 2 lengths on rain affected track. Expecting to roll forward from the draw and can be right in the finish. Can win.

Race 2: TAB Highway Handicap 1400m

VELARO (9) Lightly raced gelding that was good first up Scone getting well back and running on well in a good time event. Fitter for that effort and no issues second up and on rain affected tracks. In what is a very open race I am expecting him to get back and be hitting the line well late and be right in the finish.

Dangers:

THINK LIKE A FOX (18) Two very good runs then a forgive effort last start for mine after being caught wide after being sent out as favourite in similar class. Should be at peak fitness and only run on a soft track was good. MEDITERRANEAN (2) All runs this preparation have been sound getting back and running on well. Stable has a great record in these races and goes well on a wet track. Expecting to be in the finish despite the big weight. TRISTAN DE ANGEL (11) Fitter for two runs back from a spell and gets a nice weight drop and Avdulla gets on for the ride. Can be right in the finish. Watch betting.

Race 3: Reginald Allen 1400m

CRISTOBAL (1) Excuses first up for mine racing wide without cover then last start ran home strongly and again racing wide on the turn. Fitter for two runs back from a spell and the extra trip looks to suit. Only start on rain affected track was beating Miss Fabulass in maiden which now reads as very strong form. Should be in the finish and be going close.

Dangers:

I’M SO SWEET (3) A winner of two of the past three and drawn to get a soft run behind the speed here. Last start got a late split to dive through to score. Nice weight drop and Avdulla stays on. SHE’S FURLINE (4) Not bad last start after coming wide. The start prior was a good win on the Kensington. Will go back from the draw and be running home hard.

Race 4: The Star Mile 1600m

FIERCE IMPACT (14) All three runs in Australia have been excellent since arriving from the UK. Last start when first up and hit the line well. Fitter for that effort and extra distance suits and has won on a slow track. Down in the weights and expecting to be finishing off hard again.

Dangers:

KAONIC (9)Won the first two starts this preparation in good style then worked home well at Newcastle last start. Excellent track and distance form. RED EXCITEMENT (5) Sound effort first up then very good second up at Newcastle. Last start was a forgiven run at G1 level. FASTNET TEMPEST (4) First up effort was good working to the line well then a nice last if you can say that at G1 level working home just over 4 lengths from the winner. Not the worst.

Race 5: The Kosciuszko 1200m

DON’T GIVE A DAMN (6) Talented gelding who won well first up after being backed. Last start raced wide and stuck to the tusk well on a heavy track. Fitter for those two runs back from a spell and drops a massive 7kg for his second up effort. Can sit just behind the speed and be right in the finish.

Dangers:

VICTOREM (5) A winner of 5 from 7 and given a nice trial at Gosford in a tune up for this. Fresh form is very good and is a winner on a heavy track. Hasn’t lost at the track. Hasn’t lost at the distance. Clear danger. THE MONSTAR (1) Racing ok in higher grade than is meeting today. Has been beaten by horses like Redzel and Pierata in recent runs. Races well on a wet track. Right in the mix here. SUNCRAZE (7) Big price last start and looked to be getting back to somewhere near his best again after running on well to finish third. Its early form has him right in the finish. Looks a nice one for the multiples at $17.

Race 6: Sydney Stakes 1200m

TACTICAL ADVANTAGE (9) Winner of three from four this preparation and building an excellent overall record. Last start won well over 1000m in quick time and the start prior won easy at the Sunshine Coast. Has no issues with the track or distance and is fit to get over the trying wet conditions. Looks hard to beat again.

Dangers:

CLEARLY INNOCENT (1) First up and has run well at G1 level in previous preparations. A 3 times winner on soft and a winner on the heavy. His class will have him thereabouts. Keep an eye on the betting. JUNGLE EDGE (3) All 14 career wins have come on wet tracks. Wetter the better! Forget the last start effort at the Valley at G1 level was without luck and the start in the Memsie was sound. PIERATA (5) Very good winner first up at Randwick in quick time. Was in the market in the G1 Epsom and was just sound. His best form has him in the finish.

Race 7: Everest 1200m

SANTA ANA LANE (2) Flew home at Caulfield first up to narrowly miss the placings then was very impressive second home charging from last to score narrowly in track record time. Multiple G1 winner and handles all conditions. In what is a very open race I think he can be right in the finish.

Dangers:

IN HER TIME (10) Good first up effort sitting up on the speed and being nabbed late in a very quick time event. Last preparation won a G1 on a rain affected track and hasn’t missed the money in 5 starts at this track and distance. Looks a nice each way bet. VEGA MAGIC (5) Very good first up effort at Caulfield winning with a leg in the air then a game run last start in the G1 Memsie. Back to 1200m suits and handles a wet track. REDZEL (1) Last year’s winner and went to hard up front last start knocking up late. First up win was very good. If he can get a soft lead can be right in the finish. Wet track is no problems.

Race 8: Craven Plate 2000m

EGG TART (12) Fitter for three runs from a spell. Last start was every chance to run down the winner Ace High however just tired late. At peak fitness now and loves the sting out of the being a winner of 3 from 3 on a heavy track. She looks very hard to beat today.

Dangers:

IT’S SOMEWHAT (3) Not to bad two starts back behind Winx then last start ran on well late to grab second behind Ace High. A little bit of a tricky draw from gate 1, however fit and racing well. ARBEITSAM (6) Over cooked it up front two starts back then ran a very good race last start in the Epsom leading again at a strong tempo. Fit and is a winner up to 2000m. Might give them something to catch. MOSS ‘N’ DALE (4) Winner of the past two in lower grade than twos event however is fit and racing well. Very good wet form and have to respect the stable when they travel with them. Keep safe.

Race 9: St Ledger 2600m

HARIPOUR (10) Has been excellent at his last three starts winning very well in all three. Last start at Mornington got well back and chased hard to run down the leader late and start prior in SA won with a leg in the air. Fit and in form and has very good wet track record. Looks hard to beat in this

Dangers:

AUVRAY (3) Fitter for three runs back from a spell and a winner up to 3000m. Last start got well back and ran on well to narrowly miss the placings. At peak fitness and bold showing expected. WALL OF FIRE (7) Import who ran second in the Herbert Power last preparation. First up found trouble and should have finished closer. Stable going well in Sydney and only improved from that run looks a good each way at $12

Race 10: Handicap 1000m

ESPERANCE (6) All three runs this preparation have been good. Last start at Warwick Farm got a bit further back than usual and sprinted well in the straight to score in good fashion. At peak fitness today and only start on a Soft track won well. Talented horse on his day and expecting to go close today

Dangers:

BRYAN (1) A winner of three of the past four starts. Last start at Caulfield got back and ran on well in a quick time event. Fit and has a very good wet track record and has raced well in the past over this trip. Looks a good each way bet at $13. BEACON (8) Smart gelding who is first up today and has a good fresh record. Was a winner of trial recently and looks forward enough to be in the finish here. Only query is the wet track. Watch betting. BROOK MAGIC (5) Fit and racing well. Last start was a good second over this track and trip and has an excellent heavy track record. Can play a part in the finish.
