Race 1 no 2 RED ALTO

Brent Stanley trained visitor that is admittedly finding it tough to break through again having not won since August last year (some fourteen starts back). Having said that suggest this bloke is bursting to break through again, having just missed, finishing runner-up in all three of his recent South Australian starts. More than confident in stating this bloke just requires that ounce of luck that has been clearly deserting him, and hence why the bookies are preparing to again chance their arms in opposing this bloke with the opening $5 clearly appearing as good value. Also suggest the likelihood of a further drift is also certainly on the cards, especially with three Weir gallopers in the race, all of whom we are keen to oppose with Super Haze ($4.40) presenting as the danger in our books. Although he has never won over the longer trip also have absolutely no concerns this High Chaparral gelding will get the 2600m whilst also more than happy with the engagement of in-form claiming hoop Alfred Chan.

Race 3 No 7 DIVANATION

Daughter of the great Makybe Diva that gave every indication she may just have inherited some of her mums ability when coming clear for an impressive 2.25L debut win. Has since subsequently trailed well, when again scoring effortlessly by 2.7L (runner-up Laure Me In gave every indication he isn’t far off a win when running very well last week), franking those formlines even more. Gives every indication she still has a stack of upside with the step up to the 1800m also sure to appeal. Also has the deadly McEvoy/Kah combination firmly in her corner….reckon she rates a cracking bet at the opening $2.50 (suggest if you have the facility on your accounts with Sportsbet/Ladbrokes/Neds you take boost/power odds option)….expect her to be winning again with Canford($3.50) the only possible other chance in what is just a moderate race.

Race 4 No 8 CHOISBORDER

Super honest D.Weir trained three year old that is yet to run a bad race, finishing amongst the placings in all six career starts to date. Peaks for this having now again the three runs back this time in, including last start strong/comfortable win under the steadier of 59.5kg. Likely prospect of another Soft track absolutely no problems, as he appears more than comfortable in the conditions with four of his previous appearances having been in the wet. Obviously still presents as a galloper with still plenty of upside and appears very well placed in this BenchMark 70 affair dropping back to 57kg. Maps to get race run ideally to suit with a stack of pressure engaged up front and expect him to simply be too strong for these late. More than happy with the opening $3.30 with Nodoubtaboutit ($4.50) presenting as the clear danger.

Race 5 No 19 ZAGATO STAR

Ryan Balfour trained, lightly raced three year old filly that went straight into the black book just last week with a clear best career best effort, when charging late into the placings. Would even be fair to say she was only beaten by her wide draw, after initially jumping well, was forced to be hooked back to the tail. Despite that never shirked her task coming with a game/wide run, producing the days second best final 200m sectional (only 0.04 behind impressive BM 86 winner Invincible Al). Obviously loaded with plenty of upside, quick back-up also a definite positive, whilst also drawn to settle a lot closer stepping up to a trip she should now relish…..absolutely worth having something on at the big $35 on offer!!

ODDS $35.0 @ Sportsbet

Race 6 No 6 SILVERA

Went down as a beaten favourite however still lost no admirers after enduring a tough run throughout last start. Also hasn’t had the best of fortunes when still finishing close-up in two previous efforts since resuming. Surely now peaks for this fourth-up stepping up to a trip we suggest he is now screaming out for on this blokes preferred rain affected going. Also gets big ticks with tempo appearing more than genuine with the likes of Temps Voleur, Beau’s My Boy, Excites Zelady and Dance of Heroes likely to set it up for something coming off the pace. Tipping McEvoy/Kah combination to have a field day!!
