Best Race 8 no 9 White Kaps
Race 2 No 4 MAZUREK
Much underrated mare that is bursting to break through again having been close-up in all three runs since freshen-up, including a Listed runner-up effort two starts back. Travelled over to Caulfield and was again so game, placing, despite being burdened with 59kg. After the claim absolutely plummets in the weights getting in with just 52kg here in a race which seriously doesn’t really present as tougher. Returns to her favourite track where she is 3/6 whilst maps to enjoy gun on-pace trail stalking leader Go the Journey….expect him to be horribly hard to hold out and more than happy with the current $2.70.

Race 4 No 1 MORVADA
Peter Jolly trained five year old galloper that admittedly hasn’t really delivered since promising plenty in his early two year old days. Put the writing on the wall that another win shouldn’t be far away however with an eye-catching, second-up, runner-up effort, when taking a stack of late ground off all the way winner (leader went 6.6L slower than Bench Mark up front!) last start. Expected to now be at peak fitness having placed in three of his previous four third-up starts. Small field suits whilst step up to 1400m is absolutely ideal…..the opening $4 definitely appeals!

Race 7 No 3 SILENT ICE
6yo galloper that comes into this off a clear career peak high rating when smashing rivals after settling a lot closer than normal. Also won start prior clearly indicating Stable have him going better than ever. Would love to see him again ridden more positively sitting just off what looks a genuine tempo. Quite simply if he reproduces his last start rating he will bolt in and we are getting $3.70 for our money!

Race 8 No 9 WHITE KAPS
Speedy Gordon Richards trained four year old galloper resuming. Races particularly well fresh having won 2/4 previously fresh. Form when last in work was thwarted by wet tracks hence prepared to totally put a line through his last campaign. Must be said ticks a lot of boxes getting in down under the minimum after claim, drawn ideally on the fence to jump straight on the bunny whilst importantly gets a firm track. Honestly thought it was Christmas when they put up $12….still don’t be deterred as he is still a great each way bet at the current $7! Danger Crown Fontein ($4) whilst suggest Savvy Shields ($11) is one also worth including in multiples.
BET: WIN or EACH-WAY
