Best Race 6 no 7 REWARDING LAUGHTER

Race 3 no 8 TONGSAI BOSS

Although still a maiden have plenty of time for this John Hyam trained three year old, having already bumped into some more than handy gallopers in his brief career to date. Recent form again most solid having finished close-up in a couple of much tougher races than this. Incredibly gets in with no weight down on the minimum after the claim. Expect the step up to the 1400m to suit ideally, especially considering his only previous run over this trip he managed to place against much, much tougher Listed company. Unbelievably opened $3.20, those odds were quickly snapped up however still suggest the current $2.40 is well above his true chances. Expect him to break his duck….relatively comfortably and certainly recommend readers to launch in!!

BET: WIN
ODDS $2.40 @ Bet365

Race 4 No 4 FRANCE’S BOY

John Hickmott trained five year old resuming. Admit this bloke doesn’t win out of turn however he also rarely runs a bad race and suggest he profiles terrific against these on best form. Produced a big effort when presented first-up last campaign running Call Me Curtis to a half length despite covering ground throughout. Appears to have got in well at the weights now carrying 55kg allowing for the claim of SA’s in-form rider, Raquel Clark jumping back aboard (rides him well having already won on two occasions!). With the likes of Golden Lustre, Amative and He Is Golden all likely to be pouring on the pressure up front expect this bloke to receive the run of the race…reckon he presents as a terrific each-way gamble and must rate as one of the best value bets of the day at the opening $10!

BET: EACH-WAY
ODDS $10.0 @ Bet365

Race 5 No 4 ARROW LANE

Siding with another John Hickmott trained galloper that is now bursting to break through coming into this off the back of two close-up placings. Maps to enjoy the gun trail sitting on leaders backs (Just a Bigger Dash and Lord Topper) with tempo expected to be only moderate. More than proved he is up to this company when desperately unlucky not to score two starts back in tougher Bench Mark 80 affair. Plummets in the weights from his last start run dropping a massive 4kg whilst also gains the services of Raquel Clark! At the current $7 on offer, quite simply found it impossible not to be on him this week!

BET: WIN or EACH-WAY
ODDS $7.0 @ Sportsbet, Ladbrokes, BetEasy, Neds, Bet365, BetStar

Race 6 No 7 REWARDING LAUGHTER

In-form Eric Musgrove visitor that simply gave nothing else a chance when blitzing rivals last start when travelled over for her first run this track/distance. This seriously not much tougher yet gets in again incredibly well down on the minimum. Duel acceptor that has already been scratched from much more difficult Black-type race on Oaks Day and saved for this. Again looks to map ideally….quite simply impossible to tip against and must say I’m staggered Bookies are willing to let us on at the seemingly most generous $3.10 on offer….best bet!!

ODDS $3.10 @ UniBet

Race 7 No 16 MISS WAHOO

Well above average Tony McEvoy trained four year old mare that despite being comfortably held by 2.6L, still thought she was a cracking first-up effort. Was simply given no chance the way the race was run where the winner was able to dictate out in front whilst this mare was buried well back in the pack, before unleashing a big final sectional to eventually grab second. A good indication of this mares ability was the fact she was good enough to finish a close-up, Group Two placing behind both Summer Sham and Palazzo Vecchio last campaign when starting in the market! Having trialled well twice leading into her first-up run, was actually half expecting Stable to again venture across the border where this mare, in our opinion wouldn’t have been out of place in a much tougher Black type race. Admittedly awkwardly drawn however suggest that could be a blessing as we expect her to be ridden a lot closer stepping up to 1400m. Jamie Kah jumps back aboard (has won in 2/3 previous rides!)….seriously has a lot of positives and rates as definite overs at opening $4!

BET: WIN
ODDS $4.0 @ Bet365
