Race 5 – TAB REWARDS HANDICAP (1900M)
Scratches (8) – Good run last start on pace running second at this track and trip after being well supported in betting. Drawn to take up a forward position again and looks hard to beat
Valentino Rossa (6) – hasn’t been far away in the past 5 runs running well without winning. Last start was a close 4th and does drop in grade today. Can be in the finish again.
Fantastic Man (3) – Last two starts have produced two solid placings at this track and trip. Last start ran a narrow second after being sent out as favourite. This looks no harder. Right in the mix.
Dalmatia Prince (2) – Stepped up in trip last start and was sound finish behind the winner. Has run well in higher classes races than meets today and drawn to get a soft run. Can see being in the finish today.
Race 6 – THE AGENCY REAL ESTATE HANDICAP (1100M)
Leami Astray (6) – Good run last start for a race of this class running on well. Start before was a strong winner in lower grade after being well backed. Down in grade and racing well. Can figure.
Deity (4) – Strong trial winner before winning well first up at Warwick Farm. Fitter for that effort and only other second up run bolted in at Wyong as a short priced favourite. Has ability and can win this.Miss Liffey (1) – Strong winner in the bush two starts back and run not as bad as it reads on paper last start. Has a strong overall record and twice a winner over this trip.
Moccasin Miss (10) – Big drifter two starts back running a sound third then specked in the betting last start running second to Deity. McEvoy goes on. Watch betting.
Race 7 – ON TOP OF THE WORLD HANDICAP (1100M)
Za Zi Ba (2) – Sound effort first up after being sent out as favourite. Last start was well backed and won well. Fitter for those efforts and has won here. Big respect for the stable.Equal Balance (9) – Flew home well last start first up to run second. Fitter for that effort and does have a good second up record and Angland goes on. Makes a lot of appeal.Pendeloque (5) – Better effort last start finish not too far from the winner when second up. Fitter for that effort and form last preparation is strong for a race of this class. Not prepared to right of her chances.
Coruscate (4) – Trialled well and brought that to the races first up winning well in good time. Fitter for that effort and drawn to roll forward. Keep an eye on betting from strong yard.
Race 8 – AUSTRALIAN TURF CLUB HANDICAP (1250M)
Memento (11) – Good winner first up at Sandown then last start only fair. Has strong from when raced in Sydney and expecting to bounce back to form today. Kepp an eye on betting.
Wagner (12) – Nice trial before winning well first up here by three lengths. Fitter for that effort and is still lightly raced. JMac goes on and drawn to sit forward. Looks a clear threat to the top pick
Catmosphere (4) – Specked in betting last start and ran well running second. Go on the run three starts back being well backed and bolting in. Fit and good record at this trip.
Common Purpose (13) – Racing well. Winner of the past three in good style. Last start was an easing favourite and got the job done in a TAB Highway. Hard to ignore again.
