Race 5: BM 70 Handicap 1550m
WARUNA (6) Heavily backed last start here and got back and rattled to the line late to narrowly go down. Should have won. Start prior was a good winner at Kensington as favourite. Lightly raced mare who has only missed the placings once in 8 starts. Should roll forward from an outside draw. She looks very hard to beat.
Dangers:
SMILING MANOLITO (9) Fitter for two runs back from a spell. Won well first up on pace breaking maiden status then last start was good again on pace narrowly going down. Should cross and take up the lead and be in the finish. SEE THE MASTER (4) Good trial winner at Rosehill prior to first up run here where he got back and ran home well late. Fitter for that effort and the McEvoy/Waller combo must be respected. Can he be in the finish?
Race 6: BM 70 Handicap 1100m
CONNEMARA (5) Two runs in first preparation were very good producing two good victories. First up today and fitter for two recent trials which she won the last in good fashion. Looks ready to go and JMac with the ride and from strong yard. Expecting bold run fresh tonight.

ALL TOO FREE (1) Fitter for three runs back and was a good winner last start at Hawkesbury when well backed. Peaks in fitness today and has proven to carry a big weight. Can win. TELL ME (10) Fitter for two runs back and was a good winner at this track and distance last start. From good stable and lightly raced. Looks a big danger. SOPHIELLA (9) Fitter for two runs back from a spell which have both been good without winning. Last start was well backed into favourite and made steady ground to the line. Drawn to get a good run tonight. Ready to peak.
Race 7: BM 76 Handicap 1100m
SAMADOUBT (4) Fitter for two recent trials which he has won both in good fashion. First up record is sound and drawn to be able and take up the lead which is his ideal position. This is the weakest race he has contested in some time. Has raced well here in the past and gets in well after the claim. Keep an eye on betting. Looks hard to beat.

MR TICKETS (3) Very good fresh record and first up today. Form last preparation was good in higher grade. Last time he ran at this level he won well. Two recent trials were sound. ISORICH (2) The last 5 starts have been at BM 88 or higher so won’t know himself at this grade. Very honest on pacer who always gives 100%. Can feature with the right run tonight. VIRGILIO (8) Fitter for two runs back and was good first up behind Bon Amis who would be favouirte in this. Has won here in the past and can feature here with the right run.
Race 8: BM 70 Handicap 1100m
MISTER SONGMAN (2) Highly talented galloper from Tasmania who has built a strong record winning 4 from 7. First up today for the Waterhouse stable and is fitter for two trials. Drawn to be able to take up the front which will suit Canterbury. Might just be too good for them. Keep an eye on the betting.
Dangers:
EVICT (15) Sound effort last start at Hawkesbury when well tried in the betting. The start prior won well breaking maiden status. From a very strong and inform stable. Looks over the odds currently. LEGISLATION (8) First up and fitter for two recent trials. Although a winner of only one race has raced against some of the best in the land. Down in grade tonight. Watch betting. LEGERITY (6) really struck form at the end of his preparation winning his last two starts. Has since won two barrier trials in good fashion. Big respect for the stable and the penny might of just dropped with him. Can feature in the finish.
