Race 1: BM 76 Handicap 1400m
I LIKE IT EASY (3) Very good first up win here on a heavy track. She was able to find the front control the speed and kick strongly in the straight to score. Should be fitter and improved with that effort. Will be looking to drive up from an inside gate and hold the lead again today. This looks no harder than last start. Goes close again.
Dangers:
ROYAL CELEBRATION (2) Nice first up effort at Rosehill narrowly going down then last start was sound running on behind the smart Yulong January. That’s good form for this event. Can make presence felt. EVALINA (5) Nice winner two starts back at Wyong running on well to score then last start again ran on well behind the top selection. Peaks in fitness today and Avdulla gets the right. She will be running on late.
Race 2: Schweppes BM 88 Handicap 1100m
STELLA VICTORIA (2) Has been excellent this preparation winning three from three in good style. Last start at Doomben found the front and kicked strongly in the straight to win easily and a very short quote. Fit , racing well and rolls forward in her races a lot to like. Will be in the finish.
Dangers:
SEXY EYES (3) Two good runs this preparation running second in both. Fitter for those efforts and although up in class she does drop a massive 7.5 kg from her last effort. From strong yard, sure to be in the finish again today. TARABAI (4) Happy to forgive the last effort at G3 level at Newcastle after racing wide. Peaks in fitness today and previous two runs were good at a lower level. I like the trainer/jockey combination and can fill the placings.
Race 3: TAB Highway 1800m
MOTHER TO RACE HER (7) Although only the winner of one race from ten she has been ultra consistent this preparation finishing no worse than fourth in the seven runs. Last start stuck on well after setting a strong early pace at Ballina. Stable has an excellent record in these races and drops 7kg from last start. Can feature in what is an open race.
Dangers:
FOOTMARK (1) Won well two starts back at Albury by over six lengths then made it back to back wins at Albury running on late to score in a good time. Lightly raced for a 7yo and should appreciate the step up in trip. Will be running on. VERTEX (6) Three very good runs this preparation without winning. Last two starts have been in races of similar grade and has run on hard from well back in the field. Extra trip should suit and peaks in fitness today. RAPTURE MISS (14) Strong winner at Moruya two starts back then never a winning chance last start due to the slow early tempo and settling well back in the field. She is from a good stable and happy to give another chance in this.
Race 4: Filante Handicap 1400m
JUST DREAMING (5) Fitter for first up effort at Randwick leading and being rundown late. She has an excellent second up record winning 3 from 4 and a very good record at the distance and conditions. Last preparation was only a length off the winner in the G1 Coolmore. That’s strong form for this. One to beat for mine.
Dangers:
SAMBRO (3) Should have finished closer first up after being blocked for a run, then just fair last start at Newcastle. He has raced very well the last two preparations when third up including winning at G3 level last preparation. Expecting a return to form. SPECTROSCOPE (2) First up today and has a very good fresh record. Form last preparation was sound without winning at the listed/G3 level. I liked the recent trial at Warwick Farm hitting the line late. Expecting a bolding showing fresh as the stable usually has them ready to go first up.
Race 5: BM 94 Handicap 1800m
ABDON (3) Strong effort two starts back at Randwick running on well to claim second then last start should have finished closer behind Smart As You Think. On a quick back up today which is a plus however is proving a bit hard to catch. I like the step up in trip and drawn well and will be in the finish again.
Dangers:
AQUA D’IVINA (8) Nice first up effort at Warwick Farm working to the line well to run second then last start was a good winner again at Warwick Farm in lower grade. Drops 4.5kg from that last start this is harder however racing well. ZOURKHAN (2) Has come back well this preparation. Last two starts have been on a heavy winning well in both sitting just behind the speed and proving to strong. Doesn’t get those conditions however fit and racing well and must be included.
Race 6: BM 78 Handicap 1000m
BEACON (5)Fitter for the first up run on a heavy track which I’m prepared to forgive. Has an excellent second up record and back to a drier track is a big plus for him. Did run second to Unforgotten a few starts back which reads well for this. Expecting a bold showing in this today. Currently $5
Dangers:
REVENIRE (1) Ran on strongly first up to run second under the big weight. Fitter for that effort and did win well last preparation when second up. Avdulla gets the ride. Can feature in the finish. BROOK MAGIC (3) First up and a winner of three from four fresh. A winner of recent trial has her tuned up for this. Will be looking to drive up from an inside gate and control the speed. Will be hard to catch if left alone in front.
Race 7: BM 78 Handicap 1400m
METAMORPHIC (8) Very consistent this preparation finishing only out of the top four once in eight runs. Last start worked to the line well to finish just outside of the placings. Drops nicely in weight today and will appreciate getting back on to a firmer track. Looks to be right in the finish in what is an open race.
Dangers:
MOST EXALTED (3) First up run at Doomben was very good running on hard to place. Last start again run on well to narrowly go down. Fitter for those two efforts and has ran well here in the past. Looks a nice each way bet at the $11 MAN OF PEACE (11) All the way winner last start in good fashion here in first start for the stable. The starts prior were good in lower grade. Will roll forward again from the wide draw. CHAUSSURE (7) Lightly raced and first up. Has been off the scene for a while however looked good in a recent trial at Warwick Farm. Has ability and keep an eye on the betting.
Race 8: BM 78 Handicap 2000m
SAVACOOL (3) Has ran on well in all three starts this preparation and the last two as favourite. Last start sat a touch worse than midfield and ran on strongly to win by two lengths. Peaking in fitness and the step up in trip looks to be no issue. I like that she is on the quick back up today and Avdulla gets the ride.
Dangers:
SOLO MISSION (5) resumed over the 1800m and ran on well late to run into the placings. Fitter for that run and has won second up in the past. Gets in well after the claim and the step up in trip suits. Can win. SKY BOY (6) Nice efforts in all three runs this preparation. Last start sat just behind the speed and quickened well to win by almost three lengths. Extra distance should suit and peaks in fitness. MARK TWO (7) First up run in Australia at Gosford was good sitting midfield and running away late to score. Fitter for that effort and runs previously in NZ were very good including a second at G2 level. Keep an eye on betting as she might just blow them away.
Race 9: BM 78 Handicap 1200m
CORSUCATE (3) Nice winner in the first two runs this preparation getting back in the field and running on strongly. Last start was trapped wide and the winner hugged the fence however he once again ran on strongly. Peaks in fitness today and good record at this trip and Avdulla gets the ride. Looks hard to beat in this.
Dangers:
KAWAIKINI (12) First up and three from three fresh. Looked good in a recent trial working to the line well. Will get back and be hitting the line late. STAR REFLECTION (4) First up and ran well first up last preparation. Did run well at group level last preparation. Can feature in the finish. O’RACHAEL (1) First up for new stable and form previously was good in higher grade than she is meeting today. Has a big weight however a forward showing is expected.
