Race 4: BM 74 Handicap 1200m
YOU MAKE ME SMILE (2) Solid performance first up holding ground to the line then last start was solid in betting and taken to the front and won by three lengths in impressive fashion. Fitter again and goes very well here and at the trip. Can hold a forward position and be right in the finish.
Dangers:
DESERT LORD (6) Lightly raced and has performed well in five career starts. Looked the part in a recent trial working to the line well to score. Probably wants it a shade longer however has more upside than a few of these and can win. JUVENTUS (5) First up run was sound working to the line. Fitter for that performance and has won before second up. Last preparation strung consecutive victories together in weaker grade. Expecting a bold showing today.
Race 5: BM 70 Handicap 1100m
LEGISLATION (4) Has had four runs this preparation and although only placed once the runs have been better than it reads. Back to this trip suits and only two starts back was sound in listed level which reads well for a race of this class. McEvoy and Snowden combination must always be respect. Can win
Dangers:
COMMON PURPOSE (2) First up and form last preparation was very good in weaker grade including a victory in a TAB Highway. Bowman rides today and happy to forgive only start here where he was spelled. NICTOCK (1) Excellent record at both the track and distance. Only three starts back ran well in a BM 94. Has the class at this level to take this out.
Race 6: BM 72 Handicap 1900m
GAYATRI (3) Has not missed the placings in five career starts and this preparation has won two of the three starts including last start on the Kenso as a short priced favourite. Has above average ability and drifts back from the wide gate and expecting to be finishing off hard late and be right in the finish. Big chance.
Dangers:
SHAQ (4) Very consistent this preparation including a very good win last start at Sandown as favourite running on strongly. Will get a soft run from the draw and expecting to be finishing off strongly. SAINT KATARINA (8) Last two starts have been good run on well over this track and distance. Fit, racing well and goes well here. Looks a good each way bet at the $7
Race 7: BM 70 Handicap 1250m
APERITIF (1) Specked in the betting first up here and got back and ran home strongly to win well. Fitter for that performance and record at both this course and trip is excellent. JMac stays on for the ride and expecting to be running on strong late and be right in the finsh.
Dangers:
LADY I AM (4) First up effort was fair and improves sharply second up. Form last preparation was good for a race of this class running well in a BM 76 here. Snowden and McEvoy must be respect. TRANSMITTER (6) First for first up effort which was sound and only other second up run he bolted in at Kembla Grange. From strong yard and expecting a forward showing. Watch betting.
